But again I think if we win out we will be in the top 12. Pitt needs to beat UC last week of the year. Michigan State, Boston College teams like that need to keep on winning.

im pretty sure its like this ....

-finish higher than one or more BCS conference champions

-have a better record than one or more BCS conference champions

-meet stricter criteria than one or more BCS conference champions and a non-BCS qualifier

I'd love to play UC in a BCS bowl by the way...Demetrius Jones is their OLB..LOL

I think we would beat up on UC.

Provisions for Notre Dame to get in:
1. Notre Dame will have an automatic berth if it is in the top eight of the final BCS Standings.
2. Can be considered for At-Large if:
A. Has won at least 9 regular-season games, and
B. Is among the top 14 teams in the final BCS Standings.

The At-Large Provision kicks in IF all the 10 berths are not filled by Authomatic Qualifiers.

Lets hope we get a chance to be considered, we're already in the, "play-offs" so to speak, and should we win out, lets hope Oregon's victory over USC doesn't come back to slap us in the face, I'm sure they'll be getting a bid before us!?!

Fla/Bama vs Texas in the NC game.
Oregon vs Iowa in the Rose Bowl.
Fla/Bama vs Pitt in the Sugar.
PennST vs TCU/Boise in the Fiesta.
GT vs USC in the Orange Bowl.

Frankly I think USC is happy they lost, don't have to play in the Rose again, haha.

I'm pretty sure that is for mid-majors, not Notre Dame.

he beauty and the irony is that if ND wins out they will go and USC will not. I was listening to the USC game on the radio and as they were getting clobbered they didn't think they had a chnace to go to a BCS game anymore. It is thr 1993 logic where a FSU team that lost to ND won the NC. The 2 USC losses were embarassing.ND will get invited because ND brings the bank$$.
