More Doug Gottlieb being funny. Apparently Pittsburgh and Notre Dame are "pretenders" but Texas, Purdue and Duke are "contenders."

I have to admit that this really pissed me off this morning. Hopefully, ND proves him wrong. He's a clown and real predictable with his ND hate. I don't understand why he dislikes ND so much when he's the one stealing credit cards.

I see Gottlieb a little differently. He may have a holdover bias against other Big East teams than the one he was part of {Syracuse, I believe}, but he's also one of those analysts that believes that you have to have a big interior scoring threat to win a national championship. And he's usually right in that analysis. His view is not that ND and Pitt won't go far in the tournament, but that they won't go all the way without a big man presence. [particularly offensively].

Good point. He & Boeheim are not the biggest fans of one another.
