Irish Towels

Anyone ever notice we had these for some games white ones i saw some today on a bleacher report article... We should bring it back gold/blue or green/gold it would look nice on t.v. also... we need to have a color or two for games ND stadium is never a green out...

what did they say? it would be nice to do it for the air force game for the revealing of the Devine statue.. green with his records and photo of the statue.... it would be cool as hell to spin them fools for a irish victory..

i have a blue towel with the lep. on it. it came in a golf set with some golf balls and markers. it looks really good.

Two seasons ago, Weis and Hannah and Friends co-sponsored rally towels for the student section... they said ND Irish and Hannah and Friends in another section (plus maybe a sponsor?). I agree, I wish it happened more often.

IMO, there is nothing cooler than turning on the TV after a commercial break during the NBA or MLB playoffs to see a sold out crowd all waving white towels around. Gives me chills every time.

I think the white towels would be sweet...but may be offensive to all the people who dont have the energy to get their arms over their heads to wave em', or it may be messing with the tradition too much j slash k of course!

About 15 years ago or so, they handed out green towels with a gold leprechuan at the gate for about everyone that went into the Stadium at certain gates (I am sure on the ND side). Can't rememer what game, but still have mine. Nice souvenier. Not a new idea, or one that hasn't been done.

we need to bring them back... fo real everyone acts like the old folks hurt our crowd,but you could at least spin a towel i think..

our school never greens out etc.. we need some towels Shake Down he Thunder...

I have 2 of the shake down the thunder towels. I believe they were a Weis thing so they are no longer available. I also have a Play Like A Champion Today towel that is the color of the sign and the size of the white towel.

I lost mine the day of, but there was a white towel for the Penn State game in 2006. I'm very much down with ND giving towels to fans during the game. It's really a cool gimmick and makes the crowd seem much more enthusiastic.

i know it does for those who don't do push ups they can have the towels... i thought about a devine tribute and a saying... if they do it would be nice if not i'm taking my play like a champion gold one a start a trend..
