I am almost 100 percent positive there is a thread dedicated to this but I could not locate it after 10 minutes of searching because I have forgot the name of it. So if it needs to be combined with another thread, please do so.

But my initial purpose would be to add this "improvement." It would be nice to receive a notification when someone quotes your post. I know I've posts things and never realized someone responded for weeks. I try to check this site daily but often I forget which threads I posted in. (probably old age)

In any case I would like the ability to disable certain posters sigs. Some posters like to use giant images that take up half the browser and make navigating on mobile a chore, or worse some like to use GIFs as their sig and bog down my mobile browser completely.

I agree that GIF is funny, but do you really need people to see it every single time you post something??

I will co-sign with this also. Not that other posters do not have great sigs or the perfect gif but in mobile it can be a chore to navigate the site having to wait for the downloads of those.

As for a notification there is a provision in the User Control Panel to get Notification of Replies to your posts.

Click on UserCP. In the User Control Panel look to the Left. Under Settings and Options, click on Edit Options. Under Messaging and Notifications, look down to Default Thread Subscription Method, select the scroll box on the right and select Instant Email Notification or the frequency of your choice.

When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.

I don't believe you can turn off an individual signature (unless you place that poster on the Ignore List.)

There is a provision to turn off ALL sigs. I turned them off years ago to get my iPad to run faster.

Click on UserCP. In the User Control Panel look to the Left. Under Settings and Options, click on Edit Options. Under Visible Post Elements check or uncheck the box for Show Signature.

You have the option to show or hide various elements of messages, which may be of use to users on slow internet connections, or who want to remove extraneous clutter from posts.

Would be nice to get the Spoiler tag implemented for sure. Other football sites running more up to date vBulletin code have them.

Another site I frequent has a newbie section.
Basically all of the same things as the main board, but they have to earn the right to post on the main board by making quality posts in the newbie section with a certain amount of posts per day being allowed after a set amount of liked posts.
Mods admins and recruiters can read and like the newbie posts with mods and admins being able to fast track a poster for whatever reason.
That forum is locked to guests just lurking.
They also set up a locked discussion board so the recruiters can discuss any new person they want to.
Really helps cut down on the trolls.
