Of course Kirk can't acknowledge ND as one of the best 2 or 3 teams in the country despite all of ESPNs own analytics basically telling him with numbers.

Yeah I mean the Talking Heads are willfully ignoring How we are rated in the most predictive power rankings at this point.

Outside of Vegas this how we are currently rated in the 5 most predictive indexes this year:

#1 on Sargarin
#2 on ESPN’s FPI
#1 on Dokter Entropy
#3 on TeamRankings.com
#2 on David Harville’s CFB ratings system

Source: ThePredictionTracker NCAA RESULTS

At the end of the day, no one is gonna believe in us until we do the damn thing. Need to beat Georgia.

ND is gonna have a perception problem as long as the ESPN Gameday crew is running things. Those guys are all BFF’s, and they enjoy poking at ND.

Even Kirk, who previously was the most fair (bordering on favorable), has seemed kind of dismissive lately. I think he’s just bitter in general ever since his family got run out of Ohio.

So until ESPN decides to break up the crew and ruin the show (never gonna happen), or until McAfee and Saban start voicing pro-ND content louder every week as counter voices, ND isn’t going to generate any respect, regardless of results or metrics, until they beat an SEC team.

And even then… if they beat Georgia on 1/1, I can guarantee Reece starts the next show’s intro with “The Irish got past an already battered-and-bruised UGA, the Dawgs missing a starting QB…”

Let’s be doubly clear this will never, ever happen as long as the mouse owns & controls the SEC, ABC, ESPN content pipeline and the Irish play keep away of the sweet sweet views and dollars that go along with the brand.

If ND handles business this will all work itself out. Great year, great team...but we can't be demanding all this respect when ND hasn't won a big bowl game in 30 years and have been murdered in all playoff appearances up till now. Last night was a step in the right direction, but let's be honest....ND football has let everyone that sees this down for years and years and yeeeaaars. Go beat UGA or at the very least make it close and the narrative will change. But this whole anti ND thing is on ND....not ESPN.

That’s a good answer.
WTH is Sam Richmond on about?

I think the point Richmond is trying to make is the circular logic Cignetti is using. He (Cignetti) is punting because he has no faith in his offense, but then says there is still time to win the game. How does he plan to score the points to win if he says his offense is doing nothing?

Anyone know when we will find out about injuries? We really, really need Rocco to have a chance. Any idea what his injury was? I didn't see it, but bad sign to be in street clothes that early.

I thought it was a bad call because they only had two timeouts, but going for it on 4th and 11 with how the play of the game was going was a huge long shot so I can understand him trying to flip the field and hope for some chaos

Not just the ESPN gameday crew...seems like all of ESPN gives ND a perception problem.

We do. He’s really stepped up from the beginning of the season when everyone wanted him benched.

I'm not sure jagusah will start but if/when Pendleton starts to suck you can't keep him in there.

My buddy works security in the stadium. Told me they had to kick out a guy who was in the row behind the IU bench. He was harassing Cignetti all second half. Final thing he yelled was “hard to call a good game when you keep sucking your own dick!” Was an IU fan.

What a lit environment boys... That was easily the craziest I've seen inside the Rock. I loved not being told to sit down and be quiet for a change. Side note, going forward can the ushers remove people for asking fellow Irish fans to sit or be quiet? Totally unacceptable behavior for an elite program.

ND absolutely did what they needed to, led by that suffocating D. Guys up front were dominatingand the backers and dbs cleaned up.

What more can be said about X? Something tells me he's gonna use this matchup against the doggies to show the world who was a better between him and starks.

A workmanlike performance on offense outside of Love's 98 yarder and a few other chunks. That extended drive was perfection in the 1st, but Denbrock left a few tricks in the bag for Georgia.

My guy @arndtjc brought it.

Onto New Orleans. Let's send kick the sec outta the playoffs and watch the excuses roll in.

Has Jagusah ever even played guard? I guess they could rep him there at practice this week and decide. I've not been impressed with Pendleton. I thought it was insane that they benched Coogan for him at the start of the season.

He practiced (limited) at guard this past week.

Is Spindler confirmed out for UGA? That would impact the probability quite a bit IMO

Also curious to see Schrauth move to right guard in this lineup, did he move there when Pendleton entered the game?
