If the administration chose to honor the current ruling (even if it's likely to be overturn) and pursue the judicial process, how much delay would it really cost?
Why waste the time on South American gang bangers? Get them out.

I think it was calculated. They are moving bad people out of the country with a clear lane in court and public support on the issue. It looks worse if they stop and gives the pro-gang opposition the appearance of a win if they stall. Plus, shipping these guys home is the right thing to do.

I think pro gang is a dishonest framing. I think they view the benefit of being soft on immigration or the fear of appearing to be racist with more weight than they view the damage that these transnational criminal organizations have on the American people. That party stance, combined with an impotent executive and the desire of the democrat elite to see large scale demographic change of America resulted in the democrats that actually had a functioning brain leveraging the immigration crisis to cement that demographic change into law under the guise of stopping a crisis that they knew full well they could stop without further legislation.

No tears for any gang members, tears for our democracy ending before our eyes. Tears for watching or president disregard court orders and consolidating power like never before. Tears for the people being turn away from their families and being deported for no reason.

1. We are not a democracy. We are a republic.

2. Mistakes are made every day by the feds. Hopefully the professor can return. That doesn't offset the HUNDREDS of gang members deported.

3. The previous admin was working with big tech to suppress conservative speech. We aren't even close to that now.

4. People aren't deported for no reason. At the bare minimum, being here illegally goes against our laws and the laws of every other country on earth.

5. I don't recall any outcry or tears from you when illegal immigrants killed US citizens in the past 4 years. Take that soap box and throw it off a cliff, bud.

That's my whole point. I'm completely fine with getting rid criminals and people here illegally. Just do it the right way.
My friend...if they aren't US citizens they are not granted the same rights you and I are. Can we start there with a baseline of agreement? Illegal immigrant gangs are running around the US and that's what has your blood pressure up?

Not at all. I've stated it clearly, my issue is with the Trump administration blatantly disregarding court orders

There is pretty lengthy jurisprudence on the legal rights of non citizens from the litany of cases in Guantanamo that made it up to SCOTUS with regard to their rights to habeas corpus and due process (I don’t agree with it, but it exists but could likely get overturned with the current court)

This is also blatantly incorrect. The SCOTUS has consistently ruled that illegal aliens are protected by the US Constitution in regards to due process under the law....this dates back....so no...we can't agree to this "baseline agreement" because you're factually incorrect.

When the President pardoned his son?
When our borders were opened?
When our admin colluded with social media to suppress free speech?
When our president bragged about defying the SCOTUS?

Removing criminals from our country is an ugly deed that has to be done because of a negligent regime that failed its people.

The DOJ wasn't weaponized against Trump. I was on here saying Biden shouldn't have pardoned his son. I've already said remove the illegal immigrants but do it legally.

There’s easier work behind a computer. Especially when you consider somebody can come illegally here and get laid way less, there are not a lot of good ag jobs outside of ownership

It was a consequence of his actions for January 6th and then taking classified documents. He deserved to be investigated for all of that

I've seen some stuff talking about the timeline of the decision and flights and such. It looks like there might've been time to turn the flights around.

Even if I give the benefit of the doubt that there may have been confusion and the ability to quickly communicate the necessary information, it's still very problematic that we have Tom Homan saying “We’re not stopping. I don’t care what the judges think, I don’t care what the left thinks, we’re comin.’”

I get the fact that the Admin may totally believe that the Judges orders are pure bullshit, but you just can't choose to ignore the rulings. You appeal and go through the judicial process.
From what I read, the order was verbal. The justice department is arguing that it wasn't binding because it wasn't written.

Reading the yellow highlighted part, I think the Justice department may have a valid argument given the judge ignored standard proceedings.

Trump is using incorrect comparative data for the numbers...and/or excluding comparative data. His team continually conflates "encounters" data with crossing data.

The data in the tweet, very specifically from 2023 and 2024, an encounters number...not arrests. It would also stand to reason that "arrests" are down as well as encounters as the Trump administration has completely knee capped the ability for anyone to even enter the country legally. Encounters aren't necessarily arrests.

The numbers are all over the place because the adminstrations(both) of them were fucking with the numbers. You can find some Biden numbers that look even worse than the ones Trump is touting in the tweet. Some better. Some media sources conflate them in their own stories.

Which is also idiotic given SCOTUS rulings (let alone Congressional Action) that directly subverts the Alien Enemies Act...not to mention the AEA isn't even applicable.
