SIAP. RFK went to the border and it's not a good look for the Biden/Harris admin. This may have happened awhile ago too, but I'm just now seeing it.
RFK Tours Border
Holt: You haven't been to the border.
Harris: I haven't been to Europe either, soooo.
Living in Denver the past year has been unreal, really hope we can figure something out to help resolve the issueYou know it's bad when your own party members from major cities are wanting to stop the influx into their own cities.

What do you mean? What do you want to figure out? Please clarify.Living in Denver the past year has been unreal, really hope we can figure something out to help resolve the issue
I'll have to type out exactly what I mean, because it's not a simple response. What do you mean? What do you want to figure out? Please clarify.
What could go wrong?

Of all of the weed that comes up from Mexico and passes through California, I'm thinking most of it gets smoked in Cali. What could go wrong?

Not a chance. Those people don't vote Dem. They can't buy their vote with free goodies.Seems like homeless veterans should be getting this. Widows of fallen soldiers, etc.
ffs enough of this narrative. That bill sucked ass. Amnensty for tens of millions of illegal immigrants, and allows up to 2 million illegal immigrants per year until the President can shut down the border. It was a weak bill written by democrats and weak senators on the right. No thanks, why would you grant this bill (when the entire crisis was created by Biden and Harris when they ended the remain in Mexico policy) when you can take the house, senate, and white house this fall?Too bad the bipartisan immigration bill they had couldn't get passed because it was going to ruin Dear Leader's tour.
I don't agree with James Lankford on much, but the guy seems to be very religious and otherwise not a complete twat like so many other Senators. So of course, he gets censured.
What narrative? It's what happened. Dear Leader killed the bill. Wasn't good for his campaign.ffs enough of this narrative. That bill sucked ass. So what's the alternative? Is it buried under Boehner's counter to the Gang of Eight's bill in 2013 or with the Health Care plan to replace the ACA?
Everything "sucks ass" but nothing ever gets counter proposed. Just jack wagon carnival barking on lather, rinse, repeat. Why solve a problem when you can just bitch about it for decades...
Impossible. I was told the GOP blocked any sort of meaningful action to correct the 90+ executive orders signed to deliberately open the border. The alternative is to reinstate Remain in Mexico and start deporting these criminals that they arrest multiple times before they end up raping and murdering innocent children (which there are many cases of).
Also the House Republicans passed a border bill that would actually have addressed the issue the year prior and it didn't get a vote in the Senate.
The criminal element is one piece of the issue, is it not?The alternative is to reinstate Remain in Mexico and start deporting these criminals that they arrest multiple times before they end up raping and murdering innocent children (which there are many cases of).

It doesn't end there, but the border with Canada is fairly secure and much more difficult to cross without being noticed. That's why you are seeing other nationalities find their way to Mexico in order to cross illegally. The criminal element is one piece of the issue, is it not?
South America and the Caribbean are about 8% of the world's population. They somehow account for 20% of the displaced people in the world. Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela are complete failures due to the repression of their people. The system is totally overwhelmed and lacking both alternatives and action. Our immigration system as it is needs improved and augmented, and part of that is due to years of inaction.
I'm in full agreement that criminals need sent away. I would also say that we need more ideas and manpower down there on multiple fronts because the issue at hand has more layers than that. I understand the narrative is that some people just want to set criminals free like the second half of Dark Knight Rises, but I can confirm that I personally do not want that nor do I really know anyone who does. I get that it gets twisted, probably on purpose, but that's why I don't tend to go around calling people Nazis and fascists.
Not to mention, the border is just the beginning. I think we often forget that immigration doesn't simply end there.
I was referencing the process itself not ending at the border. It doesn't end there, but the border with Canada is fairly secure and much more difficult to cross without being noticed. That's why you are seeing other nationalities find their way to Mexico in order to cross illegally.
Biden wanted to pass a republican written bill that would have provided funding to all the agencies at the border. You need funding if you want to combat the problem. The criminal element is one piece of the issue, is it not?

You can't pretend that Biden and company didn't take deliberate action to open the border and completely lost control and didn't give a crap. When the polls got ugly, he wanted something he could defend, and knowing that they screwed the pooch, they did what they do best- fail and blame Republicans. We were like 10M migrants deep at this point. The issue was going to Trump.Biden wanted to pass a republican written bill that would have provided funding to all the agencies at the border. Trump had it killed because he doesn't actually care about the problem and just wanted to be able to run on it.
Did Trump kill a republican written bill to fix the issue? Now ask yourself why this bill just came in 2024, 3 years after Biden took office and about 8 million people came in illegally. Dems have had control of the White House and Congress since January of 2021.What narrative? It's what happened. Dear Leader killed the bill. Wasn't good for his campaign.

Now that is a whopping lieDemocrats aren't the ones pretending to care about this issue.
