He played in the Super Bowl and worked his way into a major role this season, despite being a 5th round player that was cut by another team. He also does a lot of work with the Patriots Charity organization.
I'm sad that it really seems like most of you really are just talk in regards to the "character" of what Notre Dame is supposed to be about.
For instance, the fact that this can be said with a straight face:
Besides him saving a woman from a car what has he done prior to that?
For real?.... how many people do you know that saved a woman from a burning car? That's not enough to give you insight on the kind of man he is?
I do like the idea of maybe having an "Irish Circle" and "Notre Dame Man", one being a total contribution in both play and character and the other simply their play on the field. Because frankly... most of you are full of shat when you say that you are considering the character of these guys with this voting.
