Maybe this is a swipe at CW, and im sure it probably is, but Sam Young is the perfect example of a guy that NFL scouts see and say "he needs to be coached up and made nasty"

They see him as pure "potential"

I agree with the Tate thing! ...if he doesn't I'll punch Weis between the eyes. Its pretty clear that Jimmy has an attitude. I don't think that'll effect his selection though. People can see his potential beyond his attitude.

I hope this doesnt happen to him...but I see the same thing happening to Tate to what happened to Darius Walker. Now, I don't think Tate will go undrafted, but he'll drop to a later round.

Do you all think that Tate left cause of the money or because of the uncertainty of the ND team/coach next year?

Tate is lucky for 1 big reason - Percy Harvin.

Tate is a mid to late first rounder because of harvins performance. If Harvin couldnt find the field, Tate is a 3rd rounder.

I will say this is Michael Floyd came out, I truly believe he would be picked over Tate. I know I'm crazy, but I think it would happen. I love Tate, but I think he should have stayed because I would not be surprised to see him slide in the draft.

No way man. Tate is a four million times better than Darius. Darius wasn't even anything at ND he was slow and small. Tate is dynamic!

He? He left because he was talked into it by Coach and because Clausen left, and clausen left because of money and family. He really just didn't know any better and when someone older and more NFL experience says to go...hes gonna go. Its really sad.

Look for Golden Tate to become the heir apparent to Hines Ward, in Pittsburgh. I'll bet Big Ben would LOVE to have a playmaker like Tate to go to.

Personally, I don't think there's even a question about that. Floyd is the better receiver with all the measurables that pro scouts look for. That said, Tate had great heart and left it all on the field every game. He's going to make some team very happy with his contributions.
