Do you think until Charlie is canned?
If hired, which coach do you guys think would still be able to get the most possible highly ranked recruits?
Take this FWIW... my wife's aunt's best friend's son (I'm not kidding) is somehow involved in recruiting for ND. He says Weis was actually fired last Monday (the 23rd).
I know, I get tired of hearing stuff like that, too. But it wouldn't shock me if true.
I agree. If one of these 3 and especially Meyer or Stoops aren't named, I feel that a lot of the recruits that Notre Dame has now are most likely going to leave and the recruits that are considering Notre Dame, are going to go elsewhere as well. This program needs to hit a home run and it has to be with one of these 3 coaches. The timing just sucks. If the next head coach is not named Stoops, we could really be setting ourselves up for sloppy seconds again. Kelly or Meyer aren't leaving teams they are prepping for a BCS game.
While I'm not a pro-Kelly guy, any name that is not one of these 3 is not going to drum up the enthusiasm we need to keep this program afloat.
I agree 100%i would say 120 hours. 5 days. that would put us at thursday. Meyer and Florida would play that saturday for SEC title, then he would head to south bend for an interview.
honestly its just wishful thinking, but it would be sweet. but im guessing formal announcement tuesday at the earliest. thursday at the latest.
If we hire some no name instead of keeping charlie though, im gonna be pissed. Cycle of shit would continue if that happened.
CW's biggest mistake this year. Moving Tenuta ahead of Brown as the defensive play caller. Most likely cost the man his job.

My boss's ex-wife's cousin's husband's golfing partner once worked somewhere in South Bend, oh wait, maybe it was Goshen, anyway, he says the decision has been made to keep Weis around for one more year. Oh, take that FWIW.
