Notre Dame is establishing the new normal. Better than Davie, Willingham and Faust. Not as good as Lou and Ara. What is the biggest win in the CW era? Sucks to admit it, doesn't it?

The new normal is a mediocre Big 11 school, that just happens to load up with Top 10 recruiting classes yearly.

The new normal is playing USC each year and pulling down our trousers and hoping they wont make it bloody this time.

The new normal is viewing the Navy game at Home as an important game on our schedule.

The new normal is going to Tempe every year.......as a stop before heading to Hawaii.

Also in defense of Weis, he did not fumble the ball at the one, that was jimmy trying to make a play and score for his team, one hell of an effort, that didn't go our way, Weis did not throw the int at the four, an obvious miscue between Clausen anf Floyd. He did go for it on fourth inside the five, to no avail, but he did not miss the field goals either. We lost by 2, and blew pontentially 20+ points in the red zone.

You are right. But when Navy, I'll say it again in case you missed it... NAVY, when they can rush 3 and 4 and get pressure on the QB, you have issues.

This is Tenuta's second year, he was hired in early 2008. I am almost positive on that. I am also almost positive he had been signed to a two year contract. I highly doubt that the contract will be extended.

I agree. It starts with the people hiring the coaches. I offer the whole Ty/Urban/Charlie fiasco as Exhibit 1A.

Everybody needs to go except for Alford & Powlus, each should have their choice to remain or go elsewhere.

I am not that young, but I do respect Notre Dame history. This isn't the navy team os the 60's, 70's, 80's, or 90's. They run the option perfectly. They don't suck as much as they did during that 40 year span. Hate to say that they have improved, but they have.

A team that lost to Temple, went to OT against SMU, barely beat Wake. But I guess this is what its come to now. We've moved on from being happy losing to USC by a TD, to being happy to compete with Navy. Congrats.

The head coach is responsible for offense, defense and special teams. Charlie brought in Tenuta and forced Corwin to become a co-defensive coordinator. He cannot wash his hands of the defense.

the coaching aspect i agree upon is defense. they looked unprepared and didn't really adjust until the 4th quarter. unacceptable. other than that, it's not cw's fault when players like parris fumble the ball, fg's are missed, etc.

Jesus. The triple option is the best offense in football. If you know how to run and read, it is nearly unstopable. Look at Georgia Tech. Look at Navy. (Funny... didn't Navy's old coach go somewhere where they run the triple option?) When you run this in and out every week, you can make a ton of D's look absolutely stupid.

They did that to us. When our linebackers are having trouble scraping over the top, when our DEs scrape or close, we can't do much. They did a great job today and we had a subpar day.

The point was to illustrate the constant puffing up of teams ND loses to. To try and explain away a loss as it was a better team. I don't think I can really say anymore than THIS IS NAVY. Twice in 3 years now, both at home, ND has lost to NAVY.

You can take your triple option and kick a field goal with it, because the point is moot. The teams that Navy has lost to and teams it barely beat should, at this point, be no better than ND.

Hell... This is his first true group of Seniors. His first class doesn't count. Came in late and had little chance of getting a good group. Next year, if it doesn't work, he is done. But, fuck, don't run this guy out of town yet. We are YOUNG. We are maturing. WE ARE GETTING BETTER.

Pitt held them to 120 yards rushing. Hell Louisiana Tech help them to 290. AirForce held them to 190. Temple held them to 227.

Please stop trying to justify the loss.
