The Los Angeles Times, quotes new Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh as hearing from multiple sources that this will be "Pom Poms" last year at the University of Scandal and Corruption. For a link to the entire article:

On another note has anyone heard anything about the ongoing investigations by the Pac-10
or the NCAA of USC?

Wow, interesting quotes by Captain Comeback. I think most fans agree it's a matter of time before e scratches the NFL itch...especially if he wins it all in 2007.

I agree with the general sentiment here - we have another chance to be the spoilers on what looks to be a USC championship season. Now that reggie bush isn't there to push anyone into the endzone, we may have a shot...

Sept 22 Washington State win
Sept 29 at Washington win
Oct 6 Stanford win
Oct 13 Arizona loss(my upset special)

Nov 10 at California win
Nov 22 at Arizona State win
Dec 1 UCLA loss

Is it just me or did the Poodles response in the article seemed like he was pissed that Harbaugh let the cat out of the bag, man talk about throwing a kink in this years recruiting cycle if he doesn't squash these rumors.

I don't see why he would pick next year when he could have left this year to better teams, not to mention you don't know if anyone will be fired next year.

Thats a good point and is why I think he is headed to the pros again. On the other hand word is filtering out that if Mark Richt struggles next year he will be out as UGA HC due to the fact he has had issues winning the big one. Few other college teams that may look for a new coach are Florida State, Penn State, Arkansas, and maybe Texas A&M. I know without a shadow of a doubt that if my Titans don't have a good year next year Fisher is OUT!!! and I would rather have Ted Roof than that spineless classless good for nothing piece of fecal matter walking the sidelines at LP field.

I've heard some pick Georgia as their darkhorse NC for '07..so time will tell. Word out of Georgia is that Stafford has really come into his own & began to overcome his INT problem at the end of last year...we'll see. Most expect PSU & FSU to have a decent turnaround. I agree w/ A&M & Franchione being on the hot seat...especially w/ the success their bball program has enjoyed. Arkansas should be naming a new AD this year to succeed Broyles so Nutt's situation will be interesting. If he wins (he has a cupcake schedule) he could leave to get away from the criticism but if he loses, he should get the axe. Of course, if the former happens, I don't know where he could go where the press would criticize less than AR. He doesn't know how good he has it & should grow thicker skin b/c he'd be hung in effigy at most universities.

Dude I love your optimism but USC should be loaded for bear this season. The UCLA game should be one of the matchups of the year, but I give the Trojans the edge w/ revenge factor & the fact that UCLA will be expected to be a force in the PAC 10 this year. I like your upset special though...I could see that playing out. I'm not prepared to pick the ND game yet w/ so many unanswered ?s...time will tell.

Thats bad news for him because the higher expectations have been for Georgia the farther they've fallen from their goal.....hence why he's on the hot seat

USC will slaughter Nebraska like a sacrificial lamb, Zona winning is not in the realm of possibility and they will not lose to UCLA 2 years in a row BUT.......A predict a big long awaited Victory for the good guys.
