Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. My holiday is a little different this year. My wife and 12-year-old daughter are both sick as heck with the flu or something like it. So far, I'm fine and trying not to touch either of them or get too close, so I'm hoping to not catch it. They were too sick to eat a big feast today, so we're putting it off until tomorrow to give them an extra day to get better. I've taken a few days off to take care of them and do the cooking. Today was grilled cheese and tomato soup. Tomorrow will be the big turkey feast with all the trimmings. I may be eating by myself while my two germ bags moan & groan and complain about how bad they feel. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed your day and had a great time!

Both of my parents are dead.

My only sibling is a legit psychopath older brother (I can give horrific examples on request), and I cut off contact with him 5-6 years ago.
My wife's (of 20+ years) family insists on Thanksgiving and Christmas be spent at her sister's house every year despite the fact she has multiple cats and I'm allergic.

I routinely pass on showing up, yet they choose on meeting there every year.

I do get multiple friends offering me to come over every year, but I never take them up on it.
I spend every Thanksgiving (and Christmas afternoon) since my father passed doing yard work.
