This month marks the 25th anniversary of "Die Hard." As a reasonable man who is not given to hyperbole, I can state that "Die Hard" is inarguably one of the greatest works of artistic creation in all of recorded history. This thread is for fellow IE members to pay homage to this cinematic jewel. Yippee-Ki-Yay Motherf***er!

Actually, I have always loved this movie and considered it the finest action film ever made. Why? In an era where action heroes were bulked up with muscles and could endure ungodly amounts of explosions and wounds without the slightest twinge along came John McClane. In this movie he gets dirty, wounded, has to reload often, runs out of ammo, scavenges ammo off dead bad guys...very, very realistic in an era of unrealistic stuff.

If I ever need to use a pseudonym or sign a fake name for whatever reason, I always use Bill Clay.

Seriously though, this movie is just cinematic perfection. One of my all time favorite movies, for sure.

And, what football game is on the TV at the security desk of Nakatomi Plaza? That's right, Notre Dame!

And the terrorist posing as the desk guard who says that he's got $20 on USC gets blown away by John McClane. Never bet against the Irish.

Today is the actual 25th anniversary of "Die Hard." The theatrical release was July 15, 1988. In commemoration I'm spending the whole day wearing a dirty tank top and no shoes and befriending random black police officers via radio.
