please take into consideration alabama is a run first offense...other than that julio averaged more than 10 a catch. he did what he had to do. thats ingraham and richardsons offense

Julio finished the year with 43 catches, 596 yards, and 4 TDs. Over 20% of those yards came on two catches, a 50 yard score versus Arkansas and a 70+ yarder versus LSU. Take those away and he had 41 grabs for 473 yards and 2 TDs. Hardly production expected from a superstar player, injuries aside.

i also wouldnt say that aj green is a dominant receiver. all they do is throw him a slant or a go. and cox still performed better than tj yates. and he played better competition. and that doesnt mean that im saying hes a great qb im just sayin hes better than tj yates

Substitute slant for out route and you have 95% of Golden Tate's routes in 2008 and 2009.

Where does Deandre Brown go to school?

Southern Miss.

He was a five-star recruit but either didn't have the grades or had personal issues that kept him from going to any of the big schools. He is the biggest of the super prospect junior receivers at 6'6", 235 pounds. He had an absolutely terrifying leg injury (I would NOT recommend watching the video of it if you are squeamish) in a bowl game his freshman year and has recovered remarkably well.

Since Greg Little's recruiting profile was closed, I thought I'd post this here.

Cleveland Browns Greg Little recieved large allowance per month at University of North Carolina - FanSided - Sports News, Entertainment, Lifestyle & Technology - 240+ Sites

College athletes are not paid.

Say it again with me now.

College athletes are not paid.

Does that make it any more believable? Yeah, I didn’t think so either.

No matter if you agree with it or not, college athletes, especially athletes who are heavily courted often find themselves getting paid under the table. That’s not to suggest everybody does it. There are plenty of athletes who don’t break the rules, but to pretend as if it isn’t prevalent would just be sweeping it under the rug.

Whether or not they should get paid – that’s a whole different argument all together, but players that have had a few extra dollars put in their pocket are costing their schools, like the University of North Carolina.

UNC has already felt the brunt of the punishment stemming from their scandal which took place a few years back, but more details are emerging from the situation thanks to a recently released warrant.

According to the document, former UNC wide receiver and current Cleveland Brown Greg Little received around $2,200 dollars a month during his tenure at UNC which was paid out via an agent, to a tutor, who got Little the money:

According to a search warrant unsealed and obtained by the Associated Press, former North Carolina wide receiver Greg Little told investigators that Terry Watson of Watson Sports Agency provided him with a monthly allowance of $2,200, in addition to expenses and other payments, in 2010.

Little said that former tutor Jennifer Wiley paid expenses on behalf of the current Cleveland Browns wide receiver with money received from Watson. Wiley was a key figure in the academic portion of North Carolina’s two-year football scandal.

UNC was placed on a one year postseason ban, lost fifteen scholarships and is currently on probation for their role.

$2200/month goes a long ways on a college campus with all your other expenses covered.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with the last second flip.

This is the stuff that really sets me on fire. The kids, coaches, and agents know they're not supposed to do it and do it anyway. Eventually they get caught but by the time anything comes of it, they are earning million dollar checks in the NFL.

Is there nothing illegal about this on Little's end? Infuriating.

I think they're under probation for the academic scandal and this is a new development.

The USAToday (AP) article I linked notes the NCAA investigation is closed. State authorities are investigating violations of the state agent law.

I guess if some people want false hopes to cling to about UNC being further penalized, the article does indicate that UNC told the NCAA investigators that the amount paid to Little was $5,000.

If:
1)it is documented somewhere or indications exist that UNC actually knew the amount was much higher than $5,000
2)the NCAA had some spare time on their hands (when they aren't getting Johnny football to sign helmets for them for 6 hours)
3)the NCAA wanted to make an example of a program

...I believe they could pursue UNC for lying to investigators. Really don't see a way where that ever happens
