rivals have moved blanton and Newman up to 4 stars and screw deion walkar and goodman. Walker dropped 144 spots while goodman dropped a star. This is unbelievable?

Guys,
Who cares what star they carry. We know what type of talent we are getting and that is the important part. When a kid hits the college gridiron, stars don't mean sh#@. It is mano y mano as my coach used to say. Who wants it more. We are getting kids with great attitude and work ethic. I think we have all seen that 3* kids can play as well as many 5* kids when the rubber meets the road. We know that ND has a GREAT class of kids coming in, so let the chips fall.

i watched the army game a couple of times, and i thought goodman looked pretty good! 3 stars?i asked the staff at rivals about walker's 140 place drop.that one is very puzzling? did he have a bad senior season?what where his stats? he has prolly the most impressive offer list of any of our recruits!

He didn't throw and catch any passes to himself so of course he had to drastically drop.

Walker is good, no doubt in my mind about it.

Walker had a few injuries this season. One of which was a nagging turf toe that slowed him much of the season. Then if that wasn't enough he mildly sprained his MCL the week leading up to the All-American games.

i know goodman played qb his senior season.he played well enough ,and had a good week of practice at the aaa to at least move up.

No offense to Barry Gallup, but he is 5-11 and Goodman is 6-4. And regardless of height, by all accounts Newman was the best NT there out besides maybe that "other guy". Idiot really isn't strong enough for that report!

Do not get yourselves caught up in this. I could care less what stars they get. As for some of our guys who have moved. Goodman looked very good at the AA. He definitely needs to put on some weight. His height is good. We should expect him to be a guy who redshirts and will contribute in a year or two. Newman exceeded everyone's expectations at the game. He definitely is not as tall as we thought, but plays with a good motor. He will need a year to put on some more muscle. Walker is just suffering what we could call the injury slide. He had some injuries this year and then got one down at the UnderArmor game which exaggerated his slide. These are all injuries he will likely totally recover from and be able to contribute in the fall if needed. Reality is that we should be able to let all three of these guys use their freshman year to grow into college ball and redshirt. Goodman and Walker can ease into the WR role since we have a young group and Floyd will likely be the freshman to step in with his size and strength. At NT, Ian will have the position locked down and Hafis could sub or even Mike Martin if we get him. Newman can take a season to get his strength up which means he will have a good 4 years. We are fine guys, do not panic!!

I don't think it's the panic button as much as it is the po'd button. The whole rating system seems irrational to me at this point. It's like to try and understand their logic you have to be without logic.

But like you said "whatever". We got a good class coming in. We'll see in a couple of years.

Besides isn't it more fun now that we can complain about the commits loseing stars. Compared to a few yrs ago when we complaines about not recruiting or getting the athlets with the 4-5 stars.

I'm glad that you don't care jones, but I do. I like to follow recruiting as a hobby and rankings are an important part of college football. If we seal the #1 class this year it will be used as a recruiting tool for the next couple of years. Maybe you care a little more than you think. I seen you have contributed two extensive posts to this thread.

are you serious NDOM???? None of these guys would start on our current team with the exception of maybe Samardjiza and MAYBE, MAYBE Carlson. The rest suck. They are Mac level talent at best
