I would like to point out that I've had my doubts this season about Kelly. Some of those losses were hard to bear. He did get this team to play better in November than they did in September, and that is a fact, as well as a stated goal which he has achieved. While I wouldn't call 7-5 a stellar first season with the schedule, there are plenty of positives to point to. The fact that he salvaged the season from what looked like no bowl for ND, into a shot at the Champs Sports Bowl is cause for celebration. He's done great here these last three games and hopefully it carries over and we continue to get better for the bowl, and next season. While I'm certainly not ready to anoint him the savior of ND football, he still has a lot to accomplish, he's closed the regular season in a great way, giving me reason to hope. I've been burned too many times in the past, however, to get too excited.

Kelly never freaked out when things were going down hill he said will get this turned aorund. With everything he has gone through in his first year how can you not like him. And Bob D. wow man where did you come from i was kinda wishy washy about him being the defensive cord and i had my doubts. But man has he gone the extra mile to get these guys play veery good. I think the article on espn said we gave up 278 yards to USC thats damn good.

I've already anointed him savior. Cause he is and will be.
I knew, that early when we were losing, as heart breaking as it was, that thats what it took to turn this team around.
to make these kids buy into the new system.
I love kelly! :)

i was sold on him all offseason. i was sold on him week 1 and 2. i really lost all of my confidence in him during the middle of the year with the loss to navy and tulsa.

i am warming back up to him a little bit. i still cant stand this fruity spread offense that he loves so much. i will probably never stand it. i am not super impressed with these last 3 wins over utah who has been exposed as only a decent team, army who is well army and usc who has fallen flat on its face. (lets not forget how bad they got beat by a middle of the road oregon st team withouth their top receiver just a week ago).

i am always happy to win but i am still not sold on kelly, although the guys played much harder the end of this year than last year. and for that i have hope.

just please put the damn qb under center and run the goddamn ball some more, you saw how well it worked last night when you finally after all this year decided to try it!

i also want to see him adjust to different talent, in big time college football you have to be able to morph a little from year to year. i dont know if kelly can do that. as he has been pushing that square peg into the round hole all year.
