He's a junior this year.
We shouldn't worry too much about this. This guy wasn't even a starter. He had attitude problems that hindered his talent and affected the team chemistry.
Just think of this as one more available scholarship for one of Charlie's guys.
I wish this would've happened sooner so maybe Steve Brown could've thought twice about commiting to MU. But this definitely improves our chances for the other Brown (Sergio).
For anyone keeping count this makes 5 transfers since Charlie took over. I'm not mad at all though. Like I said, more schollies for one of Charlie's guys.
P.S.
I would post a link but I don't know how. Can somebody please tell me how?

Another dent in the secondary should this be confirmed. I can't find a story, but it wouldn't shock me at all about this guy. Tommy Z's emergence knocked this guy out of the box.

In the long term this is good for sure...but not now. This secondary will have to be the best coached group in the country for them to contain teams, let alone shut anyone down.

The secondary situation has only gotten worse because of this.

It was part of Weis' press conference today. Parrish is transferring. Mutual decision. Travis Leitko is also out.

Vernaglia is shifting to APACHE linebacker and Darrin Bragg has converted to WR.

I wasn't impressed at all with him anyway. I had a feeling this kid was gonna transfer, I've read a few other guys were performing better at the position then he was.

Good luck to him.

Charlie is quoted as saying Parish is gone at this link

Here are the comments on Parish and Leitko:

A few logistical things to get out of the way, as you'll get a roster today and we start going through some things, here are some things of note. Freddie Parish is transferring. We're in the process of getting that done right now. He came to me, he and I worked on this. We've been working on this together here for quite some time and I think that we have this kind of worked out. This is not an anti Notre Dame or anti Freddie Parish deal but I think it's going to work out the best for Freddie in the long run and I'll leave it at that. That's as far as I can see.

Travis Leitko will not be back this year, as far as his future goes, I can't tell you and for anyone else that I've already commented on at a previous time, I'm not really going to go in that direction, nor am I going to answer questions about Freddie Parish or Travis Leitko, so save your breath because I'm not discussing personnel issues.

Parrish was a top recruit and now he's on the scrap heap.

These players departing, while moving ND in a positive direction, still hurt depth in a short term situation. ND does not have enough bodies in the secondary and O-line right now to afford anyone getting hurt.

I can't see many fifth year guys in these spots for the next few years. Weis will have a lot of four year graduates that are DBs and OL.
