I shop Tackle Warehouse a lot. They have decent deals. If you want a discount combo, just get an Ugle Stick at Walmart or something.
I could type a book regarding recommended setups, because it all depends on what you're fishing for, where, style, etc. Are you on the bank or in a boat? Around heavy brush, docks, mats, lily pads, or open water ledges? Top water? Jig? This all matters.
My go setups:
1) Crank baits
2) Spinner/Chatter/Swim baits
3) Top Water
4) Drop Shot
5) Texas Rig
6) Frog Rod w/ braid
7) Flipping Jigs w/ heavy flourocarbon
100% Dobyns + Shimano. Tackle Warehouse sells them.
My casting reels are all Lews.
This. I have Stradic Ci4 on all of my spinning gear. Lews for casting.
I used to love dragging a jitterbug at night.
