I'm an admitted transplant to this board from other ND boards.

I'm looking for a board where the conversations are not mean spirited and degrading to fellow ND fans. Everyone posting on the boards loves ND and I just couldn't take all the negativity toward fellow domers.

Hopefully, this board is a "home" where I/We can discuss ND football like adults.

That being said, I'm interested to know who is on your wish list for the assistant coach openings? What names would make you excited?

We're a good, change that, great group. We do however have moments. Fortunately, we have mods with quick "Delete" fingers and big "Ban" hammers!

I too transplanted from a board where everyone thoughts they were better than the next person. The casual conversation is fun and yes can ve sarcastic at times but In no way mean spirited

This board is great. I was an ND lurker on several sites for quite a while before settling on IE. I'd advise reading/studying on here for a bit before you totally jump in posting (perhaps you have. I actually did before I "officially" joined), not because you don't have anything to add or offer...but just to kind of learn the personalities of the posters and threads.

There are some top notch guys here that post good, reliable "insider" info. There are top notch guys who know their ND sh!t and numbers. There are top notch guys who are very intelligent and make good and valid arguments on just about any topic. Lastly, there are top notch smart @sses and ball busters that really do often make this place a hilarious board. Most "jerks" on here are actually pretty good guys and are simply giving other posters a hard time. The real "jerks" on here are dealt with swiftly and often severely-- the mods do a phenomenal job making this site what it is.

Most of the new posters that get banned or pissed off don't understand the personalities on this board.

And be meticulous with "your" and "you're" or the grammar nazis will jump YOUR case (looking at you dshans).

Welcome to the best ND message board in the world!

I belong to a few others, but I frequent IE more often than the others. There's a lot of great people here, and we're like one big happy family (along with a few crazy Uncle Herman's thrown in for good measure).

My advice is to read through some of the threads and get acquainted with some of the people. You can get some really good information from the vast majority of posters here. These guys really know their stuff. There's no reason to go to other boards. These guys are that good.

I'll be sure to read through the posts. I can handle sarcasm and a little ball busting.

I know we all want "Big Names" but I was amazed to see Kliff Kingsbury was the offensive coordinator for Houston. He was promoted to this position only after a few years upon retiring from football and Houston has a good offense.

I think the one thing I could agree with in Charlie Weis' opening Kansas press conference is that it is most important for a staff to have chemistry. I hope BK can find the guys that fit with the current staff so everything starts to gel. Especially on the offensive side of the ball.

I really don't have a short list of guys myself so that is why I posed the question to the board.
