Just wonderin who you guys listen to the most. I'll list my top 5.

1.) Ben Harper- seen live once in KC and will be attending a show in STL in June
2.) My Morning Jacket- seen live in Columbia MO and in STL
3.) Kings of Leon- seen twice, both in KC
4.) 311- seen live 7 or 8 times can't remember
5.) Wolfmother- going to a show in June

If you have never heard of some of these bands it might be worth your time to check some of them out. Not trying to force anything on anyone, just trying to broaden you listening.

i like alot of bands so i'm not gonna list a bunch, but lately i've been listening to alot of incubus. specifically the song 'are you in'. it's such a mellow, good feeling type of tune.

here's a youtube video of 'are you in' live. you guys should check it out.

Lol. This thread is funny because it reminds me how like, we are all white. Every band listed so far is like a protoypical "white guy" band. Not that I'm a big exception, but my favorite favorites are more mellow than most listed here

All time top 5 (in no particular order)
1. Counting Crows
2. Third Eye Blind
3. Goo Goo Dolls
4. Death Cab for Cutie
5. Toad the Wet Sprocket

Honorable mentions: Train, The Killers, Jars of Clay, Switchfoot, oh man, i better cut things off here, because like 10 other just popped in my head and they all seems so close. Anyway, might as well put a shout out to my own personal band Solid Underground, that kicked it in like 2 years ago... oh well. :)

Korn
Disturbed
STP
REM
Bush (of course)
Temple of Dog
Audioslave and soundgarden

Chris Cornell can freakin' wail! And Scot Weiland is one of the best...if he can just keep that damn needle out of his arm. Not a big Michael Stipe fan, but to each their own (I did like the 'Green' album).

thats a pretty good list of Metal.

------As some stated above...Earth Wind and Fire kick ass

------As for rap I'd say Eazy-E, Game, and Eminems first two albums before he got poppy and ruined his music.

Great minds must think alike! I kicked myself for omitting Johnny Cash & Tony Bennett. Cash is the ultimate in country & did a helluva job crossing over w/ his last string of albums produced by Rick Rubin. My favorite Bennett songs are "the Good life" & of course, "i left my heart in SF". Bridge of Sighs is a classic & worked great in the movie about undercover drug narcs w/ Jason Patric & Jennifer Jason Leigh as the cops & Greg Allman as the drug dealer (can't remember the title).
