Cowturd had Bob Davey on today and basically in a nice way said we suck, our defence hasnt changed, we are too slow and could not compete with the OSU and Alabama's of the world.
He did say we have a great coach.
Really? after 2 games these two great ANALyst / world class coach can deduct that ??
Why not just reair stuff from last year and play it over ?? S.O.S. Colin and Bob.
You both cant stand ND for different reasons. Pricks !!!!!!

Here is how I see it our defense-

8 athletes (5 or 6 had tons of potential but never developed bc of the piss poor prior regime)

1-elite NFL 1st Round prospect player- Teo
1- Hard nosed "no mailbox" go for the kill player-Calabrese
1- Freak Athlete that has too use his athletism on the field and once/if he does he'll move up to "elite"-Filer

We aren't, trust me we are a lot better this year. When DC & Floyd get on the same page watch out. I also believe our 'D' is alot better this year, at least there is fight in them this year. So screw Cowturd..........

Just remember that talk radio is a ratings game. One way to get ratings is to try to piss people off. There is something in human nature that compels us to keep going back to get kicked in the nuts, day after day. One of the funniest things is to listen to political talk radio and hear the same callers day after day who can't stand the host. I'm convinced half of Rush Limbaugh's audience is people who hate him. Yet, they listen every single day and give him money.

First off, our defense, through 2 games, just looks a ton better. The tackling has been a 1000% upgrade, and for the most part, guys are in the right spots. And losing Slaughter REALLY hurt vs. Michigan, as it limited the looks we could give b/c we only had 2 healthy safeties.

Having said that, Boob didn't say anything we already didn't know. If you take off your ND glasses...you'll see that on defense we aren't very fast. Is that some earth-shattering news? Our defense is much improved for sure, but we are too slow (just look at who gets a ton of PT - Brian Smith). We might not like to hear it, but it's not like it isn't true. There's a reason Brian Kelly is recruiting guys that can run.

Agreed. We're not 'lightning' fast, but few teams are. Nothing that can't be fixed by recruiting. What I like is that the D is looking fundamentally sound (at least compared to the last several seasons).

I can forgive speed issues; what I can't stand is half-hearted arm tackling, not wrapping up and shoulder bumps. From what I've seen, more often than not, good positioning, swarming to the ball & solid tackling. Me likie.

Our defense just looks like a defense for once. I don't really know what it is because they still make mistakes and give up yards. But it's nice to see the corners make tackles. It's nice not to see the other team's running backs get 9 yds a carry. It's nice to see the LB's make tackles in space and not fall down. They look like a defense for once and not a total laughing stock like they've looked for the last 5+ years.

I have to disagree. Ian and Carlo could both play for them, and be stars. With the supporting cast they'd have, that's a no brainer IMO.

Why do I listen..............man I stopped listening to this guy 2 yrs ago but thanks for the heads up that nothing has changed. Davie and his 'This is the national championship game comment a few yrs ago with OSU/Mich and then they both get gutted by Fla/southern cal, Cowherd reminds me of the scene in Croc Dundee when he's in his NY hotel and is ask if they have TV in the Outback as he turns on I LOVE LUCY reruns- he looks at the TV and says -yea same stuff.

When Any of the "Elite" Programs (tOSU) holds Robinson to 7 for a half...I'll listen to cowturd and Davie...those knuckleheads probably didn't really cover the new system (3rd one for some of these guys), new faces...people still thinking a little...just wait and see how fast these guys play in the bowl game we are going to...

I realize these guys do shit for ratings...but they still need slammed when they are wrong...and hey, they get good ratings for being attacked too...
