Doesn't seem so much like a scandal, just business. I guess using the scandal word drive hits and sales.

It really isn't a big deal, but it should be, primarily, because the universities want to keep their status as tax exempt amateur sports, but that's not how this is being dealt with. The back and forth is really starting to **** me off--it's semi-pro or it's education based. Once money creeps in it isn't going to leave, and it's going to corrupt an institution further and further.

That's what I'm saying, the money has crept in, and the system is now grossly flawed. The game will continue to work towards the collection of capital for these institutions, and big payers like ESPN can have a bigger seat at the table, effectively molding the future of college athletics. I don't like the direction college sports are going, but it's the nature of the beast.

Wouldn't suprise me, I remember when the UFC shot down ESPN for FOX and Dana White said ESPN acted like babies about it and pulled interviews and such.

Basketball drives the Big East. Football is important, but there are seven members of the league that don’t play FBS football. Blaudschun suggests that those schools may break off and form a basketball only conference with Notre Dame.

The basketball conference is going to happen. The Big East will add Butler and Xavier to make it 10 teams.

What do you mean its not a 'big deal'-who's running the show? You tell me if espn is not getting too far over the top here boys-we got to protect our phoney baloney business here boys!!!! Very appropriate.
