Hayden is not near as bad as ABC's Brent Musburger. C'mon Musburger when announcing you would have thought John David Booty was the second coming. I really thought he might follow him into the bathroom and report on the perfect way he wiped his ass.
Keith Jackson was the best college football announcer of all, but long as I don't have to hear "Hayden to a wide open J.J. Mckay, TD!" (Even after 36 years that still haunts me, what can I say?) I can listen to almost anything, except Brent Musburger.

When the agreement between ND and NBC was negotiated it was mutually agreed that the announcers would not be connected to ND. NBC wanted an aura of independence. They did not want to be known as the ND Network. ND agreed. The likes of Tony Roberts, Tom Pagna, Don Criqui, Hornung, Van Patrick, Lindsay Nelson, Ara Parshegian, and Lou Holtz would not get an interview.

I cannot stand Hammond. He is annoying, throws daggers towards ND when he has a chance, and he talks about announcing figure skating during the telecast. Hayden, meh. He isn't bad, but not good. He is 10 times better than most of the clowns ESPN hires to talk college football. The major downside is obvious. cannot have a trojan on the ND broadcast.

If I had to hear Hammond say another third down was "huge" for the Irish, I was gonna punch something. I hate these guys. At certain points during the game, I would just hit mute because I couldn't take their ramblings anymore. I know they did not want to be an ND network, but let's at least hear SOMETHING about the ND players. And how many mother f-ing times do we have to see close ups of Petey!

Stupid female. It could have easily been 21-7, at the half. The fact that a touchdown wins it for you, at that point, is definitely a positive.

Maybe one of you South Bend guys can help me out, is there any radio station that broadcasts the notre dame broadcast online? with Criqui and Pinkett? ive been looking since saturday to find something.

You are being silly. The kid had a great game and seems like a good dood. NBC is and will always be very much pro-ND. however, when we play USC obviously a lot of USC viewers will be giving them rating points so they throw them a bone or two.

101.5 FM in South Bend has much better announcers, but I have a 6 second TV lag with AT&T Uverse, so it's too annoying to handle.

I'd rather listen to Tim Mcarver and that moron Ron Darling talk about the evolution of the Baseball then sit there week after week listening to the two gabroni brothers murder names "Jimmy Carson" and "Harrison Ford" there was no bias during that broadcast. Pat Hayden nseemingly had an ORGASM everytime USC scored. Hammond? he was just as bad. Obviously you have a different opinion Phil.....and thats ok..but your outnumbered on this thread those two guys stink. Only problem is I live in Buckeye country and I dont get there radio broadcasts otherwise I wouldn't listen to Abott and Costello again.
