I really expect us to get back in the W column this week. There really is NO reason for Duke to beat us this coming week. I just review their depth chart and they do not have a single 4 or 5 star player anywhere to be found. In fact, most are not even rated. Further, this is the final home game for us this year. I would really expect our guys to want to leave the stadium in a positive manner after all that has happened this season. Finally, I think our D will prosper playing a team with a more traditional O. That crazy option stuff can drive a man crazy. I also expect Jimmy and company to make more progress. GO IRISH, BEAT BLUE DEVILS!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully every athlete will focus on the man in front of him and want to kick the crap out of him. Hopefully he will forget the history of football, the history of sports talk, the history of this season, and focus on knocking the shit out of the guy in front of him on every single play.

Hopefully they will listen in the huddle to the play called. Hopefully they will remember how to catch, block, tackle, hit, and get hit.

Hopefully they will put all friggen ego aside.

If they can do that, they have a better chance of winning.

Let me tell you that it just SUCKS not to be a student anymore. I was there during the Ty years, and it was awful, but at least I could get hammered enough to get psyched about a possible win and enjoy the atmosphere. Now I just sit around trying not to wake my kid up or teach him the "F" word, and scribble notes on the game.

So this is what is has come to. We are going to be happy if we beat a 1-9 Duke team that hasn't had a winning season in along time. Tell me again how good our coach is. Ty never lost nine games and had a better record when he was fired than Charlie has now.

I have been saying that losing to Navy and Air Force was our way of supporting the troups. There is no excuse for losing to Duke. They are not going to care b/c basketball season has started. This is week better find the pride to beat a bad team. The line is 5 and I think we should crush them by at least 14.

Exactly, our tribute to the troops in our down year, let them grab a couple wins that will hold them over for the next 40 odd years as our dynasty rolls college football. As for Duke, if we win, beers are on me!

2. Notre Dame fired Ty Willingham simply because he is black.
