anyone notice Kory Minor in the Domino's commercials lately? I guess he owns a couple dominos in SoCal. (Hemet and Montclair)

I meant to post about that. It kinda looked like a grown up fatter Kory Minor. So that is seriously him? Did he ever play in the NFL? I hadn't heard about him in forever!

Big Lancer (Bishop Amat) fan. Was supposed to go but my mom couldn't afford it in the end. I would've played with Kory Minor in fact. Damn. My buddy at my high school was named to the Los Angeles Times All-Area team as the All-Purpose Back (He was a QB but the spot was taken), and Kory Minor of course was the POY. My buddy said that Minor was just a beast, even back then. But a great guy.

Another interesting tidbit from the Times dinner: The keynote speaker was an NFL referee, the top ref of the day, whose name escapes me. Anyway, the ref was asked about pro QB's, and he said that Troy Aikman was the most underrated QB in the league, despite his success. Said he threw the best deep out (many say the hardest throw in football), better than any QB he'd ever seen.

Shoot, way off topic and sorry if I bored you. Ummm, yeah, Kory Minor can bake a mean pizza...

This is a forbidden romance coming to fruition. Jason... BGIF... do I hear wedding bells?

Not even in California (where it is forbidden).

Mrs. BGIF, who owns my wedding bells, grasped the paraphrase of the signature Kojak line.

I went to Damien, graduated in '91

That's right, TDJesus, drummer from Damien High. A close friend of mine, HUUUUGE Domer fan, coaches baseball at Glendora High. He says the rivalries in that league are great. At a recent basketball game, the student section from Glendora started a chant, "We have girls (clap clap clap clap clap)". The Damien (all boys school for those reading this) students immediately responded, "We bang your chicks (clap clap clap clap clap)!!!" Needless to say, my buddy was impressed...

Being a graduate of an all male institution, I had to deal with these taunts. My personal fave was to kick the shit out of them on the athletic field. If that didn't work, we got creative. Our main rivals, the dicks from Greendingle, we changed the name of their mascot while having a dirty phrase: "Depauw Swallows". Or we get creative with the names of colleges: "Albion, Albion, Albion your girl friend." Or we just bang the chicks and take photographic evidence. Either way is good.

I can vividly remember Glendora coming with the 'fag' taunts(their offensive line) this was back in '88-'90. I guess its a glendora thing...

and on campus after school too. Damien had 2 sister schools they did functions with, St. Lucy's and Pomona Catholic girls high school. If you were on campus for an after school activity, girls were everywhere.

I can identify with you completely when you say that..I know exactly what you mean.
