Does anyone know if the players get rings for their Sugar Bowl & Orange Bowl wins?

I’m asking because I’ve started collecting a lot of replica championship rings for my favorite teams. I’ve found some old replica National Championship rings for the Irish & have replicas of Ara, Montana, & Lou’s national championship rings. Curious if anyone knows if the players will be getting rings for the Bowls we won in the playoffs because then I know replicas will be made and I can add those to my collection.

From my research in looking up championship rings in the past ND doesn’t seem to get rings made for bowls. Other than a participation ring that was included in the Swag Bags for the Pinstripe Bowl in 2013 I haven’t found any signs of any rings made for any bowls we have won in the last 20 years. No judgement I understand different universities look at bowl games differently but when I can find a Kansas State Texas bowl replica I do wish that I could’ve gotten a 2018 Citrus Bowl replica.

All that being said while I understand maybe not caring as much to get something like that made for the Music City Bowl, the Citrus Bowl, the Camping World Bowl, the Gator Bowl, or the Sun Bowl with the Sugar Bowl and Orange Bowl being part of the playoffs and formerly part of the major NY6 or BCS bowls does anyone more in the know have any info on if anything like that will be in the cards for Irish players and selfishly my collection? Thanks for reading.

While i don't know for sure, i would guess yes.. when i played in college we got a ring for every round starting at elite 8. It was D3 football.

I hope they do not just for replicas for my collection but these boys deserve a keepsake like a ring to commemorate huge wins this season. I can understand not getting rings for winning the Gator Bowl & the Sun Bowl these last two years but beating UGA in the Sugar Bowl or beating PSU in the organe bowl to advance to the Championship game…those deserve something more than a nice (but generic) watch with the bowl logo from the swag bag.

I get what you’re saying but I can also understand getting them for winning these bowls as part of the playoffs. If teams can get NFC or American League championship rings a ring to commemorate winning the Orange Bowl to advance to the National championship doesn’t seem off base.

They were offered to us but we had to pay a discount rate, lol D3... our school did offer to cover a decent amount of the final 4 because it was the first time, but do you really want a ring of a game you lost?

Instead I like to say that I played against a future super bowl coach. My coach was Mike Sirianni at W and J, his brother Nock was a coach at Mount Union, and is in his 2nd super bowl. Mike, Nick, and their father came to my HS all star game 20 years ago since they're from the Jamestown area... 🤢

Yeah, we never had that conversation. Only one team got the ring and it wasn’t us.
