Really it boils down to "play good defense."
Running well does help keep the other team's offense off the field. But if you're holding your opponent under 20 you're going to win a lot more games than you lose. Pretty simple.
1. You need an experienced qb to win a title.
2, You need an elite qb to win a title.
What can our program and coaching staff learn from that?
You have to have a good run game. Otherwise even the best defenses wear down if they spend too much time on the field.
