Did I do the wrong thing

Over the course of the season especially before the USC and Miami games I prayed for wins. I was just having bad times and I prayed for those so I would feel better even if it was a temp fix and meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Now my friend who is in the Army is in a coma due to post-tramatic stress medication he was on not working with him and causing him o have multiple strokes. By praying for something as minute as victories for a football team I dont even play for and now this happens is this a way of saying I did the wrong thing by doing that I dunno I just had to vent this mightve been the wrong place but I had to say it.

"A single grateful thought raised to heaven is the most perfect prayer."

Love this quote. We all pray for many different things at times. I for one believe that it is truly how you feel about the situation you are praying on that will come out in all.

My best wishes to your friend, you, and the families.

Im not really sure how i feel about religon and god in itself but im sorry to hear about your friend. But back to the original point of this thread, i truly believe that if god does exist praying to him for whatever you need in any situation can be beneficial to your beliefs. I might be the wrong person to post on this tread but im basically agnostic in my views. Like i said earlier im sorry to hear about your friend and i truly wish him the best

I understand where you are coming from. It is very hard to stay strong as i am finding out this week. But i do know one thing for sure and thats the man upstairs never gets tired of hearing from us. I still ask questions knowing nothing will bring him back. Keep praying my friend you and you buddy are in my thoughts and prayers. Also my brother is in the Army and this december will get deployed for his 3rd tour i understand you pain.

I don't believe that God doesn't want to hear our little prayers too. I was told once not to pray that your team wins though. If you do and someone else on the other team does you're both asking him to do something opposite. I was told to ask God to help the team do there best. I do throw my nd prayers in with my bigger prayers but also make sure you thank him too. Just my 2¢
