Bama has Terrence "Mt." Cody to plug the middle of their 3-4....maybe big Louis Nix can do that for us.

Hard to imagine a true freshman at DE being so dominant. I think its more likely to have Stckton or Cwyner make a step up

Or Hafis Williams. He was getting a lot of hype during the spring, but didn't see much action during the season. Hopefully he can step up and get the hype during the season next year.

I'm still perplexed about the lack of time for Hafis and Brandon Newman.

I'm not at every practice and don't know it all, but I thought they'd get more time at DT at some points just to give Ian and EJ a breather.

Definitely! It really seemed like our DL was out of gas at the end of games - like the UCONN game. I don't know who was responsible for the rotation during games, but I would assume Hart.

I'm hoping for a huge jump in production from the DL next year!

I remember reading that Hafis regressed a bit during the seasonn which is why Cwner was in their so much but the coaches still like his upside. Stockton is supposed to be really impressing and has great explosion. Adding Nix will only up the ante on competition.

I think with new coaching we will see alot of new faces moving up. Some coaches have their favorties (Ryan?) that keep getting played. I predict we'll see alot of new faces in the mix next year. What does the defense have to lose?

This is true, you will see some shakeup in the depth chart but Ryan was reliable.

I don't know, Luck (true frosh) did quite well for Stanford this year. Of course he had a good supporting cast (RB especially) to where he didn't have to "carry the load". Surround them with solid players and play calling and I'm sure one or the other could step up and suffice, if need be.

Yes, Gerhart had 60% of all carries, for 2/3 of ALL rushing yards and over 50% of ALL touchdowns.... as a running back.

Crists's success will depend heavily on the offensive line. a bad one will make an inexperienced QB look inept, while a great one can make it much easier to develop because they are not getting the crap beat out of them (see: clausen year 1)

as with most great running teams, it all starts with a great offensive lines. Stanford will return all 5 offensive lineman, are loaded at running back, and will continue to run all over people next year.

look at any NC contending teams, and more times than not they will have studs on the O line and D line.
