I'm not sure if this has been discussed or if it's a silly comment/suggestion but might some defensive recruits see the fact that the defense on coach Kelly's teams tend to spend significantly more time on the field than average as being an attractive feature. More playing time can lead to better individual stats for them on top of increase experience.

Agreed Jason... but they also want playing time... tackles, sacks, tfl and ints. If you spend more time on the field you should also have better individual stats at year/carreer end! Not the decisive factor but could definately help for those dreaming about the pros.

Eh, i think recruits want to play for someone they believe will get them there, but its not a basketball mentality. Especially on defense you see more guys staying for their entire eligibility than not
If you are a defensive recruit, you are excited about the possibility of getting early playing time. We are in need of depth at about every defensive position.
At Safety, we need manhy bodies.
At CB, we need bodies.
At DL we need depth
At LB, we need guys on the outside and a guy for middle depth.

3) Feel comfortable with the coach. Trust me... there is nothing more important than trusting the coach that is recruiting you.
