At this point, I hope the team opts out of any bowl. You think you make a stride, but, nah... embarrassing
Wow, can’t believe this team completely melted down on the big stage again. After such an amazing season these guys get housed before half. This is why we don’t get taken seriously on these stages.
Now we can't tackle? WTH?
I told you we should of let Lea go.
God this is a gut punch. We should have started this game up 10-0. But the defense has laid a complete egg... maybe Lea shouldn’t have been recruiting for Vandy last week.
Great season.
We aren't beating these teams with our 3/4 stars against their 5/6 stars.
Recruit 5 stars or forget it.
Yup. I'm done with Kelly. His teams consistently come out unprepared. This game is par for the course.
Anyone who makes a case ND deserves a CFP shot should be banned from this board.
No. It should be closer but they have elite talent all over, we have little.
That matters in these games.
What a joke on 4th and 1. I’m out.
There is nothing you could say to convince me Lea’s Vandy BS is not impacting how flat this defense is. Game should be closer because the O is also a disaster. But, Lea take this one to the Tennessee.
I don't feel very good about this game. Clemson is going to come in very motivated and play like this is the Superbowl.
The last two games have shown the OL has taken a step back IMO. Patterson was playing at an all-ACC level and losing him at C has shown. The interior running game just hasn't been as consistent.
In 2018, ND's offense couldn't run the ball consistently inside and had WRs who couldn't get separation. A team with athletic CBs capable of playing man coverage and with two stout DTs was going to frustrate ND big time. The last game of the season, USC, heavily suggested it and then Clemson confirmed it.
I'm worried that's going to happen again. The OL is no longer the best in the country, ND will be relying on too many outside runs and Clemson will get more penetration than UNC or Syracuse did. ND cannot "backyard ball" its way to victory against a motivated Clemson team.
I wouldn't be surprised if the line was Clemson -10.5.
