He played Aussie rules not AFL. AFL is the name of the professional league and he didn’t get close to that level. I could be wrong - everyone in the northern parts of Australia hates Aussie rules.

Majority of kickers issues are mental. Rendell is finally punting well. I wouldn’t want to ruin him too with the cesspool that is our kicking operation.

Exactly. Why would someone think he could kick a FG/XP just b/c he was a good rugby player? Punting makes sense. FG? Not so much.

I've heard that since they both involve kicking a ball, a good punter can easily transition to kicking field goals. I mean the kicking motions are nearly identical.

I told him to stick with 2pt conversions. PAT’s are for small minded people. Pussies settle for 1. Plus you can eliminate the scholarships for kickers, making more room for DT’s.
