#2 Minnesota-Duluth falls to Bemidji State over bull$hit calls.
Arizona State gets their first victory in Division 1 hockey history.
Notre Dame beats some team I've never heard of.
Ah, Bemidji State. I remember them when they knocked us out of the playoffs. "Where the fuck is Bemidji?" was heard all over campus. They're like the Boston College of the hockey world, just good enough to be an irritating shit when it counts. I understand they're a Minnesota school, but academically AND location-wise, they're far and away the worst of them. How do they get enough talent to compete with the other MN schools at all?

My Omaha Mavericks went into #6 Mankato and swept the weekend and season series 3-2 on Friday and 2-0 last night. Blais wanted to flex his depth, so he flipped the lineup Saturday, dressing the six he scratched Friday, including a true freshman goaltender making his college debut. He got the start Saturday, and pitched a 40 save shutout. On the road at Vermont next weekend, and back home to Omaha to open up our brand new 90 million dollar arena the weekend after that. A great time to be a Maverick!

#7 Minnesota-Duluth defeats #12 Minnesota-Twin Cities. We're looking for our fifth straight win against the Golden Gophers in Duluth.
First off, any Minnesotan who doesn't know where Bemidji is, is either being factitious, or just plain stupid (it's known to be the source of the Mississippi River and Paul Bunyun tall tales).
The correct analogy for BSU is BSU. Both Bemidji State hockey and Boise State football are defined by their quality of coaching. Bemidji even got to the Frozen Four a couple years ago. I don't know where they get their players from. UMD has the Twin Ports and Iron Range, UMTC has the Twin Cities metro, where does Bemidji get their players?
Amsoil Arena is so much fun to watch a game at.
UMD Bulldogs vs North Dakota Fighting Hawks in the NCHC semi's at 5 edt. The Hawks are #1, but the Dogs are finally healthy, so it should be a great game.

I really don't care what happens until the Frozen 4 when North Dakota loses. Its always fantastic. Whether they lose 5-1 or so to Boston College or give up a short-handed goal with .6 seconds left against their biggest rival UM-TC, it never disappoints.
