Coaching Accomplishments
* The 2003 Sooner offense set a record for most points in school history, while producing three All-Americans and the Heisman Trophy winner (Jason White). OU was No. 3 nationally in scoring offense, No. 4 in passing efficiency, No. 12 in passing offense and No. 19 in total offense.
* In Big 12 play, the 2003 OU offense was No. 1 in scoring, passing efficiency and time of possession; No. 2 in passing offense and red zone offense and No. 3 in total offense, first downs and third down conversions. Individually, the Sooners had players among the top five in five different offense categories.
* The 2003 Sooners set individual records for touchdown passes in a season, touchdown receptions in a season and career, receptions in a season and receiving yards in a season and career.
* In 2002, OU’s scoring offense was No. 5 in the nation, No. 2 in the Big 12. OU also was first in red zone offense in the Big 12. The Sooners had 2,828 yards passing, 2,688 rushing.
* OU averaged 493.0 yards per game and 51.5 points in conference games in 2003.
* The 2002 offense produced the first 1,000-yard rusher, Quentin Griffin, in Bob Stoops’ era. Griffin was the nation’s No. 6 rusher.
* OU had no turnovers in 10 games over the last two seasons.
* In 2001, he tutored quarterbacks who combined to post three of the top 10 games for passing yardage in school history. Their completion rate was 60%.
* Passing offense (294.7) was No. 2 in the Big 12, 13th in the nation in 2000.
* Oklahoma's completion percentage (64.2) led the nation in 2000.

* Consensus All-American and three-time All-Big Ten selection at Iowa. *Won the 1985 Maxwell Trophy and the Davey O’Brien Award for the nation’s top QB. Runner-up for the 1985 Heisman Trophy. Auburn’s Bo Jackson won in the closest vote in history.
* Totaled 10,461 career passing yards to become Iowa’s all-time leader and the first player in the Big 10 to surpass 10,000 yards.
* Set Big Ten records with 74 TD passes and .650 completion percentage.
* Led Iowa to the 1985 Big Ten title and Rose Bowl.
* Played eight seasons in the NFL for the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams.
