He was retained at Baylor when Rhule was hired and followed him to the NFL.

Cant imagine he would have been retained at Baylor if he was implicated in any way.
along with a few others like Rob Panariello the head of Performance.

Actually Del Rio might surpass Golden. Be a scary DC in the college game

I think in this day and age of CFB we need to think outside the box. Fire this new suit we hired as AD and throw shit tons of money at Les Grossman. His personality is perfect for the new Wild West of our sport.

It's literally what we're begging Freeman to do with Parker - correct a wrong. Kudos to SC and Riley for having the balls to do what's best for her program and 86ing his buddy.

Not saying this won't be a decent hire as he had 1 good year as a1st time dc; however a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while... higher candidates turned them down... this isn't the hire you think it is in terms of home run....

Lynn spent nine years in The League before getting the UCLA DC job. Look at the stat sheet first and the results are evident. Then look at the games and the eyeball test tells that story further. He's smart and organized. He's the son of a coach. He showed up and year one his defensive squad balled out in a conference where defense might as well have been optional.

He could be on a trajectory to go back to the NFL as a DC eventually, but he's now taking on the task of being Lincoln Riley's DC, so on paper it's a very good hire but the results are going to be predicated on how the head coach's mindset is about defense as a legitimate part of the game of football. Lynn did a season of the Chip Kelly Experience, so his sword is probably a bit sharper.

The only way USC is "serious" about anything is if their head coach acknowledges that side of the ball and takes a real interest in it as a football head coach should absolutely fucking do. Until he decides that's worthy of his time, I don't think Lincoln Riley is "serious", I think he's a jagoff.

These continued posts are starting to make you look foolish, and I say that in the nicest way possible. They retained him and let him sink this year for them after he was the reason they squandered a Heisman winning season from on of the most prolific arm talents in college football recent history. The guy was notoriously bad at OU long before even going to USC.
Im not sure what point you’re even trying to make, but behaving like they acted swiftly and appropriately in a way that ND has not done after 1 year with a guy who struggled as USC letting a guy with a long history of failure as a DC tank multiple seasons for them is just dumb for lack of a better word.
