Saw this quote from him in regards to changing the turnovers part of it offense

“That’s why you can always throw the ball to the guy that’s got that real expensive seat in the first row. He may not be super happy, but doesn’t cost us a football game.”

Love it. Excited to see this move

A lot of people are counting on Rees not being the starter next year. However, when you hear Kelly's rational for hiring Martin prefaced by, "we were going to continue to run the same offense that we employed when we got here" and then say, "no one had as much experience in that system than Chuck Martin", it doesn't seem to be out of the realm of possibility that Kelly and Martin could start the QB who knows the system the best and has the most experience in that system as well.

It's possible, but I don't think it's very likely. Assuming that Hendrix/Golson is ready.

From the video interview I saw this morning, I dont think Chuck Martin is too high on Rees. He said something along the lines of...

"we only had two passing plays over 40 yards the entire season, talk about inconsistency... it's hard to consistently have 15 play drives." (not exact wording, I cannot find the quote right now)

We will definitely have the speed to get vertical but Rees doesn't have the long range arm we need. I think that is what will bring Hendrix/Golson even with Rees this spring. If they can manage the playbook like BK wants, I think Rees immediately moves to 3. Gunner, IMO, will be sat this year. Unless he is an absolute stud of course. Either way, this should be the year we finally find the QB to run our offense the next 3-4 years. I think Martin is going to bring a much needed boost to this offense.

It could be a perfect storm. Maturation of several players at qb, the right receiving talent, rebundling the offensive skill players, and a new coach at the coordinator position; or it could be a near miss.

I think this is Hendrixs spot to lose. Big arm, decent speed, and will loosen the defense up when coupled with a good running attack. This offense is designed to get vertical, we have the burners to do so, but not the arm, as noted above -- Hendrixs gives that option... Unless Golson has an outstanding spring or has suddenly mastered a decent chunk of the playbook, i see him coming in for the leprechaun type package with the option to throw.. Rees is a starter if by some chance he does biceps, triceps, and shoulders for the next 6 months, to the point where it looks awkward, or the other two fail to master any of the reads and audibles. Rees is a manager, ask him to do anything more and its a crap shoot as to how he will perform

Ive just got a good feeling about the way this team is setting up, and the coaching staff is set up. We've got a excellent head coach with that has a lot to prove, and up and coming competitive coordinator that wants become a name in the coaching world.

We've got a team of talented players that have by everyone's standards, including their own, underachieved. We have talented/young QBs that have are being pushed by each other. We've lost the best WR in Irish history, and his production is wide open and up for grabs. I think we are going to see a prolific offense that uses every player on the field to score points.

I'm very excited.

haha i did have an obscene amount of vodka and waters plus a few shots of beam this past weekend, so maybe im alittle tipsy still. But, seriously, I think we will be suprised. Im not saying well win a title, but I think well be more competitive then most believe. 10 wins with a lot of luck...9 wins solid pick...8 wins most likely scenario. If one of the youngsters steps up to take the QB spot, our offense has an entirely new dimension with the spread option and the ability to stretch the field.

We shall see...

Whats not to like about Martin

I have really looked at it closely, and the only thing I can come close to coming up with is that funny little smile he always uses when someone is interviewing him. That is the only time you see it, and that is his only facial expression when he is interviewed. But that is only mildly distracting, not even truly disturbing.

eet ****.

That was not very nice. That actually constitutes misquoting me in print. Was it worth it? Besides, to make sense out of your comment, did you mean "eat" instead of "eet"?
