Up 40-24 with 14:51 to go in the fourth quarter.

Cincinatti (led by my favorite potential Weis replacement, Brian Kelly) is doing a great job, moving the ball very easily with their backup quarterback.

Brian Kelly is on the top of alot of peoples list. He'll be coaching at a major program soon, I just don't know if it will be us.

I have no idea about his recruiting, but he seems to get the maximum out of every team he's coached. I hate the idea of losing recruits, but recruiting has turned around, and results have not....as much anyway.

Weis is a great recruiter and has done so without any prior experience on the college level. I think Kelly could manage to haul in great classes.

After looking at Kelly's recruiting at Cincy, it gets better each year. First year it was mostly 2 star players, now hes getting mostly 3's and some 4's. Not the easiest place to recruit, but he seems to be getting some players.

Lord knows Brian Kelly does great against the powerhouses of Rutgers, USF, and Southwest Missouri State!

Cincy has a lot of great football players coming out of the area.

Cincy has beaten 2 teams who were ranked when they played them and they still play Pitt and 7-2 West Virginia. How many ranked teams have we beaten?

Clausentofloyd. You just dropped a couple notches for even bringing up Brian Kelly's name.

Hey, cut him some slack. Had the 17 point underdog Huskies made their 2 point try to take it to OT while ND was making one of those 2 missed FGs, CTF would have run up the white flag over Cinncinati while starting a bunch of posts about how great it is that ND has Weis and not Kelly.

Wait, are you trying to imply that CTF isn't consistent in his posting?

So Cincy almost losing to a Uconn team with as much talent as them makes Kelly a bad coach?

No but i am sick of posters getting on their knees for Kelly. Yes he has done a good job at Cincinnati, but thats like saying Chris Petterson has done a great job at Boise. Coaching at Cinci and at NotreDame are 2 completely different animals. And before anyone brings up Urban Meyer as an example of a coach who made the step up, look at Dan Hawkins at Colorado.
