Man already the sports radio goons are throwing Charlie under the bus. They are now beginning to put a paralell between Ty and Charlie. Of course it is just something to talk about because everyone loves to trash ND.

Another thing, I am tired of hearing about how Charlie is winning with "Ty's" players, well how about he lost with the same guys. These guys are all Ty's recruits so you can't have it both ways.

The problem is everyone is ready to jump on the ND bandwagon when we are winning, calling Weis a genius and a savior. But when he loses it's "those aren't his players".

I agree with what most neutral writers and broadcasters have said, Weis is going to win mutiple NC's @ ND, just not this year with this team.

I think the comparisons are fairly accurate when you consider that this team was not prepared to play and came out tentative in a rival game. Ty, especially, had problems with these games stating they are just another game. I am not trying to be bandwagon, but the mental errors these guys made were clearly for not being the aggressor. Am I way off base by questioning this?

Brady's first pass led me to believe he was not going to have a good day. The absence of passes to Rhema and Shark during the first half convinced me. The team simply wasn't ready for MICH in spite of all the hype and knowledge that beating them led to clear sailing the rest of the season. Now, I'm not convinced we can beat Mich. St. We'll just have to wait and see. Only hope, we didn't loose the recruits that attended the game and more importantly, those who have verbally committed.

It's called the Ivory Rule. 99.44% of sportswriters and the sports media are absolute idiots. They care about nothing else but breaking a big story, and we lost. So they are going to jump on the Golden Dome for all it's worth. Turn your AM radio off.

As for winning and losing with Ty's players... these kids are Charlies men now. However, these kids were recruited under Willingham save for the 2006 class. Yes, I know the 2005 class was partially under Weis, however I do not put it on him since he walked into a shitstorm and tried his best to recruit with minimal time and resources.

Our roster, aside from a few of Ty's recruits and the current freshman class, is mainly comprised of 2 and 3 star players. Michigan, by compariso, has had solid 4-5 star classes for the last 5 years. Say what you want about "stars don't matter" and what not, but talent is what wins football games, especially when the less talented team puts the ball on the carpet and in the hands of the opposition.

For instance, 3 star Terrail Lambert was matched up with 4 star Mario Manningham. Lambert, who has one more year of experience, was solidly beaten by Mario's studder move for three touchdowns... I believe Lambert's jock strap is still out on the 35 yard line. Matched up one-on-one, it really isn't a shocker to me that this would happen. Manningham is simply a more talented player then Lambert.

And you can do this sort of comparison at many positions all the way down the roster.

Fans and the media are sooooo fickle. Last week we were the Heisman and NC winners and UM was out of it and Carr was out of the door. This week Hart is the Heisman and UM is going to the Fiesta. It can turn just as quickly back.

I agree totally!! When looking at the 11 teams now ahead of us in the polls and their corresponding schedules, each one of those teams is capable of losing at least 1 to 2 games during the remainder of the season. The only 2 exceptions are West Virginia and Louisville whose only tough game for the rest of the year is when they play each other meaning that theoretically, one of them has an undefeated record waiting for them. So, please....please....don't give up on the season yet. This fire's just gettin' kickin'.
