I know its stupid to even ask but why wait? The bcs is going to run into the same problem as years back with a potential shared championship. I don't want that. The way we have been playing I really believe we could beat any team in college football right now. There will be only about a 50/50 shot at the championship game if we win out as well as K state and Oregon. K state should win out. Oregon will probably win out but there is the chance they won't with USC. Bama will have a lot of trouble in death valley this weekend. That's our best hope of a guaranteed spot. bama loses this weekend and USC takes out Oregon. But that opens up a slim possibility of LSU claiming a better team even with one loss.

We need that 4 team playoff now!!!

Didn't we just have this thread a day or two ago?

There will be no shared Championship. Auburn went undefeated, didn't get selected, and didn't get a "share" of the trophy. They did get a share of the revenue. But then that's what the BCS is really all about.

Sorry, didn't see another thread like this but didn't look back too far. 2003 had a split championship. Now whether they allow another or not is a different story. 1 national champ and others left wondering who would have won between other undefeated teams.

The Coaches are required contractually to vote the winner of the BCS Championship Game #1 in the final Coaches Poll, no exceptions.

The AP and the writers balked at this provision and the AP was severed from the BCS and the Harris Puppet Poll was created.

Fait accompli

Not only will it not change to accomodate Notre Dame the BCS was set up specifically to prevent ND from going to a bowl versus the #1 team and upon winning that game jump from #5 to #1 over Alabama and "ROBBING THE TIDE OF THE ENTITLEMENT". See the 1977 Season and 1978 major bowls.

ND has to win out, pounding PIT, BC, and WF, and beating USC like they beat OU.

Then hope all three others lose.

That's because in 2003 the AP decided to pick USC instead. The AP then stopped participating in the BCS because the system is asinine.
