Remove Bama from the national or conference conversation, and there is no clear cut leader (team or conference). Things are just a bit strange this year.
I can see an easy path for Whiskey to win the BIG. OSU could definitely beat UM, and PSU will likely end up losing to Whiskey in the BIG Champ but OSU will likely still hold the hire CFP ranking. I think UM might have got the wake up call they needed though, and might show up to OSU with attitude. Who knows.
The ACC could be interesting as well. Clemson will likely go on to win the ACC, but Louisville could end up with the hire CFP ranking. Louisville's road loss to Clemson is a much much better loss than Clemson's home loss to Pitt.
PAC could look SMHish too. USC still has a chance to back it's way into a PAC championship. Washington could fall again in the next two weeks.
Big12 is ugly. OK, WV.... Meh....
CFP??? Bama is in assuming they don't sheet the bed vs Auburn or FL/UT. Then it's anyone's guess.
One or two from OSU/UM/Wisconsin
One or two from Clemson/Louisville
I don't see the PAC or Big12 getting back into the CFP race unless Washington beats the next 3 convincingly... Even then I don't think so.
