If anyone gets the chance to, watch the player interviews about the hiring. If you don't have time to watch all of them, watch the Dayne interview. The guy never ceases to impress me. I know him a little bit as a student here, and the couple times I have met him and every time I hear him interviewed, I am always impressed with his poise, his knowledge, and his confidence.

I really, really hope that Dayne gets healthy and is really able to succeed this year. This is not intended to be a knock on Jimmy at all, but Dayne is a terrific interviewer and a very smart kid. He is the type of guy who you are very proud to say, "He's our quarterback," based on his qualities as a person. Again, no one knows what next year holds in store for him, but this is a guy who I personally "pull for" to succeed here. It's always good to see nice guys finish first.

I hope he, Rudolph, and Eifert are all healthy and ready to go when Spring Ball starts.

I hate to bust your bubble but this guy got out of Cinn. before he could get his ass handed to him by the worst Fla. team to ever make the BCS. He did'nt think that would look good. It's par for the course.

I hate to burst your bubble, but that had absolutely nothing to do with. He had to take the ND job now or start out waaayyyyy behind on this job. He would have most certainly lost recruits, and possibly potential staff hires. As it is he is behind, can you imagine how far back another month would have pushed back HIS program? He needs to meet with his players and evaluate their talents. He needs to watch a TON of game film. He needs to go out and re-recruit his own commits and introduce himself to many recruits considering ND. That's going to take a lot of work. He needs to get his family moved to the city of South Bend. He needs to go out and meet with the BOT and all the alumni groups and boosters (this goes with the territory). HE needs to re-recruit Manti Te'o. And I'm just scratching the surface.

So no, playing FL had NOTHING to do with the timing of his decision...

If I recall correctly, didn't Charlie come to ND after the pro season had finished, in Feb? And wasn't his first recruiting class rather lean? And his staff incomplete? (Remember the line coach?)
Asking a coach to come after he has finished with his season is the hight of folly. If you want to be 100% fair, he should not leave until his last recruit has graduated.
And if he gets fired, he should stay until his last recruit has gone.

Is this the same Florida that wins NC's in 1 loss years... As it can't go undefeated with Teabag... Despite repeatedly scoring top 5 recruiting classes... whose coach ESPN (and any other talking heads) said would never go to ND because he knew he couldn't win there??? Who played one great team this year and got toasted. Lucky to beat Tenn... Arkansas... LSU... with a little help from SEC refs... that excluding Chas. South, Troy, Fla. Int., Kentucky & Vanderbilt... won by about a avg margin of what 6 points???? In a Conference with no offense.... and defenses that ended up suspect.... Cincy kids didn't seem impressed... Tebow will show he's the QB out of respect and they stumble to Cincy.... even without Cincy's coach. If the team is out on bail/bond... should be a good game. Watch your eyes.

I assume, you mean Florida. Cincinnati is a good school. They graduate almost all of there students and student athletes, especially in football (75%), even in basketball. They fired a good coach after a couple of DUIs.
They suspend even good players and do not bail the miscreants out for the game (as I recall Mich St doing once)
I hope the Bearcats stomp Florida and get a great coach to replace Kelly.
