I know the easy answer is the MICH game, but I was expecting us to lose on the road to MICH under the lights for the first time ever at The Big House. I was shocked and saddened by the loss, but it was not totally unexpected.
My biggest disappointment was the terrible effort ND had against USC. They had two weeks to prepare and it was not even a close game. I saw BK at a luncheon in Memphis and I knew the reason he came was because of the bye week--and because last year's luncheon was canceled following Declan Sullivan's death--but I was not expecting to get blown out by USC at ND under the lights for the first time since 1990. I was expecting, at the very least, a tough game. But it seemed like ND did not care about the game at all until it was too late.
I blame BK totally for that loss. He never had the team close to prepared. And I think that is the most disappointing thing, for me. That and the play of Rees.
