Spending a week and a half with my kids. I'll need it to replace the Playstation 4 that stopped working after ONE HOUR of gameplay. Piece of junk.

I bet you sabotaged it yourself! Just for the quality time, if I know you!

I got a stocking cap like one of the ND assistants had on a few weeks ago. I commented when I saw it, something like, boy that cap is cool. My 13 year old son took heed. Ordered it off Amazon with his own money.

The funny thing is that it is listed as coach's sideline cap on Amazon. lol.

Its a pretty cool cap, or warm depending on how you look at it.

Watching my 2 year old boy genuinely excited after opening every gift, even the clothes, was the best. Lots of "oh yeahs" and "what? You're kidding mes."

As for me it was a redneck Christmas. Got a 9" bubba blade filet knife, a new pair of binoculars, and $200 in gift cards to Bass Pro. I also bought my wife a juicer and a Keurig coffee maker, both of which I also wanted. Great Christmas all around.

Here's the thing, I really wanted this to surprise my 16 year old. The wife didn't even know I got it. Every year I hold one special gift for each kid (two of mine still believe in Santa) and put it out later with notes "from Santa". I wrapped a PS 4 membership and Battlefield 4 but hid the PS4 under his bed the night before. I used my knife to make a very fine slit in the battlefield game, then slid a note in the plastic backwards and tapped it so it slid all the way to the bottom. He opened the game and after about 5 minutes noticed the note, unwrapped the plastic (he had no clue how I got it in there) and found his PS4. He was shocked. Mission accomplished...one hour later it stopped working. Ugh.

You too! You and I are a lot alike, I can tell. From the IT background to the kids! From one father of a year to another! The biggest two difference that I can tell are that I am slightly younger, and you of course, are much better looking!

Flattery will get you everywhere.

I think we GOTS US ANOTHER WINNER!

Agreed. It was not my intention to make this a competition in any way, shape or form. I just remember naps with my infant (and later toddler) son. I think there's a picture or two in some box squirreled away in my house.

The rush of memories brought tears and a shortness of breath. My point is that moments such as this are far more valuable than any bottle of booze or four wheel drive jeep.

Again, my best Christmas present was when my father trusted me to assemble (until 3 AM Christmas Day) a bicycle for my younger sister.

The "concrete" pales and don't mean jack shit when compared to the thought, feeling and love. The kicker is that one never knows when one or the other (or the other or the other) will hold sway.

Follow your feelings. The plastic, wool, cotton and silicon chips will follow.

1. There's a lot of "ND's" on this thread lol, but none with pictures, so I'm assuming you mean me?

2. I had to google Sofia the First, but yes, I can see the resemblance. Thick hair, curls at the end, and big round eyes. If my daughter gets complimented, it's on her hair (I wish I could borrow some lol) and her eyes (and most importantly for me, her manners), so I see what you are getting at.

3. A common theme in this thread is the joy members got in the joy they saw in their loved ones. Awesome...Jesus is proud.
