Anyone watching this terrible fight between kimbo slice and dada 5000?
By far the worst fight i've ever seen...Dada 5000 literally fell down because he was so tired and they called the fight...Neither one of them was prepared to go more than 2:00. Bellator has some appealing fights, but when all the dudes are around 40+, that's the risk you take. Hopefully Shamrock and Gracie don't break any hips.
Agreed. I've never seen two sloths in a ring until tonight.
Was going to watch just to see Gracie but found out it was time delay. WTF!
Fair. However Kimbo did look like he knew more and had more skill than Dada 5000. That's not saying much however
Those last two fights were not a good look for Bellator. They have some good fighters but the end of the show was WWEesque.

They have good guys, but they cant touch the UFC, so they have to put on the freak shows to get eyes on their promotion.
Honestly, the only reason I watch Bellator is because one of my former player, Brian Rogers, fights for them.

I'm hoping Bellator continues its rise and acquires ONE or at least buys the contract of Ben Askren. It's the biggest travesty in MMA that we don't get to see him beat quality opponents twice a year.
Very cool. He's been there for a while. Fought some pretty good guys
I'm a huge fan of Ben. I understand why Dana doesn't want him in the UFC, but I think it's a mistake. His style may be "boring", but if he can be the Champ that way, so be it.
Do you like the boxing style of Mayweather? Just asking

I think it may have come full circle. At one time, it may have been boring to see guys like Fitch use high level wrestling to survive but Askren uses wrestling offensively, to physically dominate and smother guys. Now a days, I hear a lot of guys complain that wrestling has died in MMA. I get the blood lust factor of MMA but there is nothing more satisfying to me than watching world class wrestlers neutralize other disciplines. What is the most disappointing is watching world class wrestlers NOT use their skills and become brawlers. When Johnny Hendricks refuses to shoot a double and instead relies on haymakers to win fights, THAT'S boring to me. In a way, it's poetic justice that he keeps losing to strikers.
The problem is, Dana White came from boxing and he admires boxers more than grapplers because that's his background and his focus groups continue to tell him the same thing.
I agree with a lot of what you're saying, but I am active on the MMA boards and you'd be surprised how many people don't. On one hand it's frustrating, but then again, having a Welterweight Champ like Robbie Lawler is fun as hell and there's no denying that.
