A woman who enjoys whiskey? Unpossible!

Name some of your faves.

Johnny Red, Johnny Black, and Jameson, the only men besides my dad who never let me down! haha. Tough choices I face. I'm also rather fond of Jim Beam and SoCo too. mmm a double SoCo on the rocks in a high ball with a twist of lime.

Jameson's tough to beat at its price point.

If you're looking for good blended Scotch on a budget, you can do much better than JW Red and Black; Buchanan's 18, Grand Old Parr 12, Kingdom 17, or Buchanan's 12 are similarly priced blends which are far superior (in my not so humble opinion).

Though Single Malts >>> Blends. Sample some real whiskey if you get a chance.

I have tried Grand Old Parr 12...I'm not really familiar with the other brands, because I usually drink the whiskeys at the bar, so that's what's available. Now, tequila is a different story, I love 100% agave and have tried several different kinds. I just started with whiskey over the last year or so...but I will try those kinds you suggested. That's it though, I only drink tequila or whiskey.

What are your favorite tequilas?

If you're inclined to experiment with Bourbon, try: (1) Russell's Reserve 10-year; (2) 1792 Ridgemont Reserve; or (3) Buffalo Trace. I'd strongly suggest you explore Bourbons before other types of whiskey. They're more accessible and much less expensive than Scotch.

Drinkable Single-malts under $60 are hard to find. Laphroaig 10-year or Yamazaki 12-year are the only two that come to mind.

I am partial to the Glenlivet brand. I, of course, have a bottle of 12 year old which I keep for when I run out of the good stuff. Typically, I stick to the 18 year old. It's not too pricey (about $65 to $70 for a 750ml), and has won several awards for best single malt. I agree. I also have a bottle of the 21 year old, but I save that for really special occasions, cause it's about $135 a bottle. I've had it about a year now, and it's about 3/4 gone, so don't get it out all that often.

I can't take JW Red, just too rough. But, I think Johnnie Black is one of the best, all-purpose, low priced blends out there. The Gold is really good, but then you're getting back into the $70+ range again. Never had the Blue--$200 a bottle is too much for me to pay for a blend. Rather have 2 of the Glenlivet 21s for just a little bit more money.

I love whiskey.

I'm a big fan of both the Glenlivet 16y Nadurra and the Glenlivet 18y. At $60/ bottle, it's hard to find better Scotch at that price point.

My favorite kind is 5150. I've tried several brands at my favorite mexican place, they've got over 30 brands. I tried patron platinum once too, and it's really good but it's almost $200 a bottle. Mostly what I drink is Patron Silver or Cabo Wabo.

Give El Tresoro Anejo a try if it's available. It should be sipped, like a fine whiskey.

You all need to give me some advice, Man to Woman...am I gigantic loser if I go to the movies alone? What about to a wedding...I am single by choice, but lately, people have been trying to make me feel like I'm gonna be a cat lady if I remain so independent. Thanks :)

No way are you a loser for going to the movies or wedding alone. Personally, I love a woman that is comfortable enough to be alone at times. I hated it when women were so needy that they needed to be together with someone 24/7. One of the things I fell in love with first about my wife was her independence.

We love our time together more than anything, but we also recognize the importance of having things that we do apart from each other. A woman that can do things on her own is incredibly attractive to me. But I am not threatened by a woman that is independent. Some men are not comfortable with that.

Sometimes it's a blessing and a curse. I'm not a girly girl, but I like to dress up and wear make up, and I like to have my hair done...but I'm more comfortable in a hoodie and jeans. I LOVE football, and any sports really...and I can debate with the best of them. I hate drama, and I don't have a lot of female friends because of it. I love being outside, I don't mind getting dirty, I kinda curse like a sailor sometimes...I believe that if a woman comes to watch the game and she's not into it, the least she can do is pour the drinks and shhhh. hahaha. I bait my own hook. I work, I have a home, and a car...and for some reason the only guys that are attracted to me are jerks. They want to be my dad, and they don't understand that when I say "Yes go out for the weekend with your buddies" I mean that. Get gone. It doesn't mean I stalk you or think you're cheating, it means GET OUT OF MY FACE and have fun.
So it's just easier for me not to deal with it. But my friends keep acting like I'm going to die a spinster with 87 cats hollering at the kids to stay off my grass! I guess I just wonder if I'm setting myself up for failure waiting for a good one to come along??

eharmony is a start. it worked for me. i found someone that is as compatible as it gets.

it's truly legit. that's if you are waiting for mister right. i've had other friends go on there after pushing them to, and they eventually find someone.

but outside of that, i see nothing wrong with doing stuff by yourself. i'm rather independent when it comes to that. my wife is the complete opposite. we compliment each other.

i can go to a karoake bar by myself....is that strange?

NO!!! I love karaoke! I'm going to one by myself tonight! I like to sing. I've won a few local contests, karaoke is fun. I sing a lot of Joan Jett, Heart, Pat Benetar, Patsy Cline, and anything anyone signs me up for!

So I have a favor of whoever views this post, what does Kelly call his tire tug-of-war drill and where can I find video of it?

Second, what do you think would be a suitable replacement for the tire (for 5th and 6th graders, and please something cheap)?

My brother coming home drunk at night has provided me with some of the best laughs of my life.

He came home and began eating (as usual). I walked into the kitchen to get some juice and as I was leaving he mumbles something, but I know he's trying to talk to me. I turn and say, "what?" To which he replies, "What are you going to do for these people?" I say (very confused as we are alone in the kitchen with an interview of Gary Bracket the Indianapolis Colts linebacker on the TV), "what people?" He says, "THESE people" (pointing at his plate of hamburger helper). I just looked at him for a second and walked of laughing as he goes on about how these people have invested interest in me or something.

It was priceless. lol

I just have to post here about the straight ROMPING my old high school put on our crosstown rivals at Lucas Oil Stadium today. We didn't win a single game last year. We were actually whooped by Southside (our crosstown rival) last year as they tried running up the score.

Well we were up 35-6 at the end of the first half this year! We ran out the clock the entire second half only adding 3 more points to our score because we play with respect and integrity.

I am SO proud of my Muncie Central Bearcats. Below I will post the highlights from the game. You should really check it out.

The run at the 44 second mark is one of the greatest I've ever seen in high school football.

JaRon Terry (#24) won the player of the game award which in most cases he would have fully deserved it. He played a hell of a game, but Tim Barrett (#21) (should have) had 3 (I forgot one was marked as him being out at the one, see 20 second mark) HUGE touchdowns like the one at the 44 second mark.
