I like Andruw Jones alot, but I don't know if he's the #2 free agent. he may be the best outfielder, but until he gets it out of his head that chicks dig the long ball and swings like he's trying to hit the cover off of every pitch, he'll continue to be a sub .250 hitter. No doubt his glove keeps him a hot commodity. But at bat, he's a big "?"

Oh no, I can't believe I'm discussing baseball a month after the season ended. This year I was very glad the season is over. Oh well, I'm a dingle-berry.

Barry Bonds at #4?? Are you kidding me? First of all the guy is rapidly breaking down and brings a horrible stigma with him, as well as that classic attitude.

You always hear that same phrase that good pitching beats good hitting, so why do teams consistantly try to go after the so-called bomb hitter when a guy like Cordero will ultimately win you many more games then Bonds ever could.

I assume most of that has to do with money. The average fan would love to see a 10-9 game into the 9th with multiple home runs on both sides, and to see the premier players on the field. With big name players and hittters, fans are more likely to show up to see the big names.

True baseball lovers would love to see a 1-0 no-hitter, which would drive most average fans to leave by the 7th inning.
