N.D. came to Tennesse in 96 to play Vandy. After the game I was able to get autographs from Ron Powlus, Autry Denson, Marc Edwards, Ivory Covington, Eric Chappell, Deke Cooper, Allen Rossum, and also Lou Holtz. This is one of my most prized possesions. I figure many of you have autographs, so what ya got??

My favorite Notre Dame item is a Brady Quinn autographed jersey my dad got for me at the spring game in 06. Brady signed for like two hours. I also have an SI auto'd from Terry Eurick and a picture of John Carlson I got at the Michigan game. I love collecting autographs so I would love to hear the stories as well. Any info available on getting more would also be appreciated.

Bryant Young
Junior Bryant
Marc Edwards
Derrick Mayes

Those are the ones I could think of off the top of my head.

Unfortunately, my only ND game was last year's Air Force. We got there only about 45 mins before the start because traffic was insane getting into the Academy, so no chance to meet anyone before the game. By the end, it was getting dark, was freezing cold, and we had about an hour drive minus traffic to get back to Denver, so we couldnt stay afterward. However, if I dont go to a game IN South Bend before, I will be at the Wazzu game in my hometown of SA and you'd better believe I'll be there early for that one. Hoepfully will get a few sigs at the game.

marc edwards, tony driver, chris zorich, javin hunter, allen rossum, rhema mcknight, bob davie, also, ruth riley and niele ivey, i think those are the main ND autographs i've gotten.

usually after the games, right when the players are leaving the stadium, a lot of them will sign stuff. that's the best time that i've seen.

I must have met the team the year before. I missed out on Ron Powlus and Ray Zellars, but got Derrick Mayes, Randy Kinder, Allen Rossum, some other players who played in the NFL and also got Malcolm Johnson. Kind of funny looking back on it how Malcolm Johnson's autograph was just his name in cursive, he wasn't a star yet and hadn't developed the art of the scribble. I know I'm missing some people but can't think of who. I must have like 25-30 autographs, maybe I should go back and look through them, bring back old memories.

So where do you go to get them or where do they leave the stadium? Would love to have some more. Last one's I got were in 96.

Yeah, Is there anywhere to go during game weekend to get some autographs?
- College Football Hof (normally have to buy an admission to the Hof though)
- Bookstore lobby
- JACC on gameday, normally starting around 11AM

Note these won't be current players....didn't matter to my kids though. We've gotten Monk Malloy, Tony Rice, Allen Pinkett, Derrick Mayes, Blair Kiel, Marc Edwards, Reggie Brooks, Aaron Taylor...some others too but I'd have to go look at the football.

You can also get autos of well known ND people in the bookstore....Digger Phelps did a few weekends last season. That's where Fr. Malloy was signing as well.

they come out at the north end of the stadium, the part of the stadium facing the library. there'll most likely be a big crowd gathered around waiting.

Gad you guys are good. I did have one from Muhammed Ali. I was leaving this pick Pack with a bag of groceries. Brown Bag. I saw the champ an two friends or body guards get out of this car heading for a near by ethinic hair store (I beleive he is part owner or was) Any way I called out he champ can i have your autograph? He signed the bag. I went home carefully put that bag on top of the Fridge. I had to go out and when I returned it was gone, missing. The ex wife said she put garbage in it and they had picked it up. One more reason to have an ex.

Dang....

Friday, 2–4 p.m. Autograph Session at the College Football Hall of Fame (111 S. St. Joseph Street, South Bend). Legendary Notre Dame All-America defensive tackle and 2007 College Football Hall of Fame inductee Chris Zorich (’91, ’02 JD) will sign autographs in the Gift Shop at the College Football Hall of Fame in downtown South Bend. Autographs are free
with regular admission to the Hall of Fame*.

*bet he also shows up in the Joyce, Sat morning, though if I really wanted his auto, I'd pay the admission at the HoF.

Saturday, 11:30–1:30 p.m., ND Bookstore
Richard “Digger” Phelps/Jack Colwell, Undertaker’s Son: Life Lessons From A Coach

No mention who will be signing in the JACC on gameday, if anyone at all....a couple years ago they used to publish it during the week but I didn't see anything last year.
