theres a whole series of articles on gawker about folks who had bad experiences there. In saying that I have some mates in my profession who work in their offices here in Dublin and they love it.

A close friend of mine works at Audible (owned by Amazon), and she absolutely loves it. Why are you asking?

I don't know if it is just the location or if it is the company, but the Amazon facility my company supplies service to has tremendous turnover in the management team.

My main contact has been there for years, but his manager changes every 8-10 months.

Don't work there, but I know they churn through people at the fulfillment centers.

That's not atypical in corporate environments, especially lower-level management.

Wasn't there a lawsuit not too long ago by former employees because Amazon (or possibly the hiring agency) makes them stand in line for an extended amount of time (anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour) in order to be searched/go through a metal detector to ensure they weren't stealing. The problem was this was off the clock, and they felt they should be paid.

I believe the employees lost though.
