Any Watch Collectors?

I just picked up the "hobby" of collecting watches. I have a 6 slot watch box that I am trying to fill with just one brand then move to another brand and do the same.

My first brand I am collecting is Stuhrling Original's. They are pretty nice. Obviously they have some less expensive watches but they also have better quality ones.

I didn't want to be one of those guys who jump straight to a Rolex which is completely out of my league at the moment.

Just wonder if anyone else collects them and if so. What are other decent brands to look into?

I'm not a big car guy or anything like that so this is my "hobby" if you will.

I just ordered my first Rolex a couple of weeks ago, should get it in about a month or so. Company bought it for my five year anniversary...not too shabby.

Pretty sure there's already a watch thread. I remember discussing them about a year ago.

Oh I am sorry. I was at work and without thinking just started a thread without doing a search. Mods can close it or merge if you'd like

Watches are one of my weaknesses too.
Started 15-20 years ago with some lower end watches and now in the Tag, Omega, Breitling space. My favorite one is probably my Titanium Chrono Avenger (Breitling).
Not a big fan of Rolex, but I saw one a couple weeks ago with an orange face and not so Rolex-traditional look that I thought about pulling the trigger on. Here's a shot of a similar Avenger.

I'm currently in the Hamilton, Movado, and Oris range. My Oris piece is pure class. I would recommend Oris as your next brand to get a few pieces.

I used to love Movados, and have had several. The new ones are a little "out there" to me anymore. I just gave my buddy my SE addition I bought about 10-15 years ago. I have an Agresti burlwood 6 watch case. Every time I get a new watch, I purge one. The SE was the latest casualty. Pretty cool watch and had both the stainless and rubber bands.

I always loved watches but never got into making a collection. I think i'm about to. My wife bought me a Jorg Gray watch for my birthday 2 years ago. Love it.

Nope, not even close. A few of the folks out there on the board are snootier than I with Jaeger-leCoultre, Patek Philippes, etc.. Almost bought a used JlC last year, but couldn't see spending that money on a dress watch I'd rarely wear. I don't mind spending a little cash, but I like having something I can wear whatever the situation. My Tag and Omega below. The Rolex that I'm thinking about buying next bonus too lol.

You know I was just having some fun. I do like that Omega. I've been thinking about getting a watch with a blue dial. We got one of our boys a Lamborghini with an orange dial when he graduated from Purdue. Wish I would have kept it and got him something else. lol

My work environment is very casual and I don't do anything formal outside of work so I'll probably never spend more than $100 on a watch. I usually rotate these two.

Not a big watch collector, but my brother-in-law got me a Skagen watch as a groomsmans gift for his wedding. Love how slim and great looking they are. Ended up picking this up a few weeks ago:

This is one of my new watches I bought. Not the most expensive but I like the rose gold with the black look.

Got the new Rolex today!!! :)

That's a nice one. How does it feel? I know that's a rather dumb question considering it is a Rolex but I am always curious as to the feel for the watch. Is it heavy? Lightweight? Awkward fitting and such.

Thanks man, feels fantastic. Only have four watches and this is certainly the heaviest even though not the largest face. It is thick, can really tell the difference at work when I type.
